The book starts out with much promise, as Ty and Adele have instant chemistry. Even though both have reservations about their relationship, it is obvious to the reader that the pair are good for each other, both romantically and on the ranch.
Ty is easily a rather likable guy, as he is able to humble himself enough to seek help for his career, as well as put aside his own competitiveness for the sake of the concerns of others. Adele, on the other hand, never really seems to mature beyond who is she is introduced in the beginning as. She uses the demise of her parents' marriage and her mother's promiscuous behavior to validate her avoidance of Ty, and later, her lies to him. Even when her mother comes to make amends and change her lifestyle, and she learns more about her parents' marriage, Adele still continues in her own bad behavior. Her behavior is also rather hypocritical from what she claims to want from life.
The ending was a disappointment simply because Adele never really changed her behavior - she only did what she was supposed to thanks to her meddling grandpa. If she had actually managed to make herself stop telling lies without being cornered into it, I likely would have liked her more.

Who Knew High School Latin Would Come In Handy?
Does anyone remember the movie "Manhattan Murder Mystery," the Woody Allen movie where Woody Allen and Dane Keaton play a older married couple who try to solve the murder of their neighbor in an homage to Rear Window? "Murder Mystery" is a Happy Madison production that pays homage to Agatha Christie and Blake Edwards and several Hitchcock films. Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston play Nick and Nora (I mean Audrey) Spitz, a NYPD Sergeant and hairdresser, celebrating 15 years of marriage. In an attempt to save his failing marriage, Nick buys the trip to Europe he promised Audrey at their wedding. On the plane to France, they meet a rich debonair rake Charles Cavendish who invites them to his family yacht. During an elaborate ceremony, the family patriarch is murdered and the sole heir seemingly commits suicide. Nick and Audrey become the prime suspects and as bodies of the other family members start to pile up while being questioned by the couple the list of suspects shrinks.
The movie has some light moments to balance the thrills. But overall for a movie that is fond of pointing out that cliches of the genre are fictitious it contains many of those cliches.

I just adore Eloisa! Her books are just so enjoyable this one was no different. I'm always transported back in time with each book. Gina is such a fabulous character she really makes this book better! Sebastian was just a Welp I'm so glad our dark hero won back his wife! Looking forward to reading the next book in this series!

The Le Domas family fortune was made in the card game, board game, and gaming industry. Anyone wishing to join the family, particularly through marriage, must play a game on the night after the wedding. It can be any game, but chosen by an unseen entity, presumable Mr. Le Bail, the man who miraculously found fortune for the family. Some get checkers or canasta, others got Global Thermonuclear War or Hide-and-Seek. As anyone who's seen the trailer knows the newest bride chooses Hide-and-Seek, a grown-up version of The Most Dangerous Game where the ultra-rich hunt their prey. If Grace can survive the night, it is believed that the family will lose everything. Who can Grace trust to help her? The mother who seems to truly believe love will conquer the glares Grace gets? Grace's husband who tries to protect Grace, but will lose everything if Grace survives? Or will it be Daniel who is secretly in love with Grace and trapped in a loveless marriage to a heartless gold digging carp? Ready or Not is a great premise, but a hard movie to turn into gold.
