While i totally agree with the score (i'm a huge western fan) once upon a time in the west or the original magnificent seven give it a run for it's money

Not My Thing
I wanted to like this movie. I am a fan of the two leads, the director's last movie Whiplash was a masterpiece and the buzz surrounding the movie was immense. Unfortunately though, this wasn't for me. While I appreciate that this is a well made movie, it just isn't my cup of tea.

Its a film. Jim, not as masterpiece.
If you're a star trek fan, you've already seen this. If you're not, you likely won't watch it. I thoroughly enjoy the movies versus the series. It shows the depths of the years of friendship these people really had. #rip spock, #rip mccoy, #rip scotty

People ignored this film when it was first released. Big mistake! Last Action Hero (1993) 25th Anniversary #Review
Perennially underrated, often unfairly maligned (even by Schwarzenegger himself) as his first real failure, ironic action movie masterpiece “Last Action Hero” is twenty-five years old this year and way overdue for a reappraisal....

Absolutely amazing! Hill's Woman in Black is a masterpiece in the ghost story genre. It is chilling, sinister with a macabre yet delectable twist at the end.
Yet, not only is this a superb plot but Hill's prose is so magnificently crafted with frequent clever juxtaposition of contrasting comforting imagery with sinister darkness.
Scary, horrible, completely brilliant!

"Lars von Trier’s The Idiots aka Idioterne. This was the 2nd Dogma 95 film and didn’t get nearly the attention or acclaim as The Celebration. But I feel this is the quintessential Dogma film… combines scathing social commentary, laugh-out-loud, daring comedy and ultimately an extremely emotional and cathartic ending. This is von Trier’s masterpiece."

"In this masterpiece from our dearly departed Chantal Akerman, there is so much pathos in the pacing alone. The deep tensions in the film, which concern sex and violence and domesticity and motherhood, unfold with a sense of unrelenting inertia. Jeanne Dielman epitomizes my favorite kind of person in film and in real life—the unruly woman."

"Saulo Pereira de Mello just passed away this week at ninety-two. He’s the archivist who worked for years on Mario Peixoto’s legacy on film and in writing. Mr. Pereira de Mello also played a major role in the difficult restoration of this ninety-year-old Brazilian dream masterpiece, which can be discovered by so many through Criterion."
