SCORCHED BY DARKNESSEternal Mates series and what a joy it was to get back into this series, having missed the last couple of stories.

Hartt and Mackenzie are both assassins, both charged with killing the same mark, the King of Death himself. They start off as just two rival assassins, but things quickly change when they realise they are fated mates. Neither of them wants to be with someone just because Fate said so though, so Hartt goes above and beyond to prove he loves her. Plus, he does have some grovelling to do because of Iolanthe!

This was a brilliantly paced story, with plenty of intrigue to move the story along, plus steamy times. I loved seeing couples I have met before, and how their personalities change and yet remain the same. Read it, you'll understand what I mean!

I also loved the hints about Syn. I really can't wait to learn her story. I am wondering if she'll be the next story, but either way, I can't wait for this to continue. A brilliant addition to the series, and definitely recommended by me.

I watched this movie for the first time in over a decade last night and was saddened by just how bad it was. I knew that I was looking at the movie through rose tinted glasses and yet I was still shocked at just how embarrassingly bad this film is. If you remember watching this with a bunch of mates back in the early 2000's and laughing your head off, then that is probably the best way to remember it, don't re-watch it now with the context of better comedies that you have seen since or you will be sorely disappointed.

A rhr and book 1 of shifter mates trilogy

Astrid is a fox shifter who finds herself fighting to claim her wolf mate from a black magic witch!

She becomes conflicted when her feelings for another fox shifter collide with her feelings for her wolf.

This is the second series of Crystals you I'm reading. They are shortish books and I tend to get them done in 24/48 hours.

I'm enjoying Crystal Ash Her books flow well and keep you interested. I'm left wanting not after this one I'm looking forward to seeing it develop. I like her use of different shifters. Her characters are interesting.

I do like my enemies to lovers stories but I have no real clue where the initial animosity really came from. Well, that's a bit of a lie. She plays up to her mates and then sort of hates the consequences and that is what starts it, when he doesn't see the girl he expects. But at the same time. He knows who she is, whereas she has no idea. Hardly fair.

I wasn't a fan of their relationship if I'm honest. It was rather brutal at times with how he treated her. But she kept going back, drawn by some invisible string that I didn't entirely get.

3.5 stars.

This was a nice kind of extended epilogue to book 5, after all the gang appears at the cabin and they decide to spend Christmas there.

It was nice to see more of the interaction between the brothers and cousins and there mates, especially after reading their individual books and growing to like them all. I liked that they're all so close they can tease and taunt each other.

Amanda going into labour (finally) and how everyone reacted made me smile and how they were all trying to outdo each other for a present for the baby.

It was a nice round-up to the series.
