Gregory is amazed to find his fated mate when he is so young - only 100 plus years - and is determined to do the right thing and give his human mate a chance to learn about what a fated mate is. This goes against what his inner animal wants to do and causes strife between the two of them. Daniel hadn't known a human omega could even mate with a shifter so the whole thing came as a surprise to him. He is fascinated by Gregory, even more so when he gets a glimpse of his seal speaking through Gregory's human body. Understandably, though, his feelings swing like a pendulum as he doesn't understand just what is going on.
This is a lovely slow-burn romance with a sweet Alpha and a headstrong Omega. Sometimes I wanted to whomp Daniel upside the head as he seemed to swing so much and vent his frustrations on the wrong person. Don't get me wrong, I liked Daniel but sweet Gregory was the one I fell for.
One thing I loved straight away in this book is the amount of shifters here - and it's not always cats or wolves! Scenting their mate is a big thing in most paranormal books but in this one, because Gregory is a water shifter, for him it's the sound of Daniel's voice. I loved that!!! The oh-so-simple idea that different shifters have different ways of knowing their mates. đ
I don't know who's story is coming next but I can't wait for Winston and Henri's! If you love Omegavers stories and like a sweet, slow-burner then I have no hesitation in recommending this one!

At least Liam Steel thinks so. Until he meets his first client, a sweet, curvy, no-nonsense business-woman busy taking care of everyone but herself. His heart screams 'mate', and he's ready to get his hands on more than her yard.
Kate Hinton doesn't know what to make of the beefcake Rent-A-Dragon sent over to help with her yard. Impossibly tall with soulful teal eyes, dark hair, and the features of a male model, she's pretty sure he should be walking a runway rather than digging trenches in her yard. And the way he looks at her? Like nothing else matters in the world. But the more she gets to know her kind, friendly, amazingly efficient handyman, the more she is realizing he's not from her world.
He lives in a remodeled castle. He doesn't know certain modern words. And he definitely doesn't understand the rules of modern courtship. But somehow, Kate is finding herself falling in love with this 'dragon' all the same, and finding out there is a whole other world outside her own. One full of secrets, and danger, and maybe even the love of a lifetime.
Iâm unsure of where to rate this as on a whole there was nothing bad about the book except the story just very predictable. Saying that though it wasnât to bad to read and it was a quick read too! I read at the beginning from the author that although it follows on from an earlier series that you wouldnât have had to have read it, this is a little misleading as I really recommend reading that 1st series! Decent Dragon shifter books are hard to find and I would recommend this one!

This leads him eventually to 'Underworld' where he spends his time quite happily counting down the days until he can claim his woman. Of course, the path to true love is never smooth... especially when it involves shifters who are stuck in century's old tradition and a stand-in Alpha who wants things his way only.
Eloise has had it tough. She was basically persecuted by the stand-in Alpha due to her association with Cavanaugh. She stays because her family are there and leaving is a scary option. However, when it becomes that staying is the scarier choice, she decides to leave and find the one person that she thinks left her without a backward glance and put things right.
Things definitely don't go smoothly for our couple but it does help them find each other again. Theirs is a more gentle love story than some that we've had. Cavanaugh is afraid to push Eloise too much due to the past trauma that he feels responsible for. Eloise feels, partly due to the stand-in Alpha and partly due to how she sees Cavanaugh's responsibilities as Alpha, that she is unable to go toe-to-toe with him as other main females do. It is nice to see flashes of her though as she "forgets her place" and lets rip with what she really feels and thinks.
I can definitely recommend this story both by itself and also as a wonderful addition to the fantastic Eternal Mates series.
