It was a train wreck that I just couldn't turn away from
This was a strange movie ... and apparently based on a true story - but I guess real life is the strangest of them all. Matt Damon plays a character bent on doing the right thing and turns his company in for unfair business practices. He's not a very smooth FBI informant but he gets the job done. But don't run to the kitchen for more snacks in the last 30 minutes or you will miss the twists and turns that actually make the movie worth watching. You won't find a lot of action in this movie but you will get a lot of plotting, deception, and worthwhile dialogue.

They should've left Bourne alone
The original Bourne trilogy are possibly some of the best spy films I've ever seen. This was followed up by Legacy which wasn't great, so I was hoping with Matt Damon back, we might see a decent return for Jason Bourne. Sadly this wasn't the case. The whole film just seemed lacking in any intrigue or excitement, and there was a constant sense of having done all of it before. Despite having a great cast, nobody really excelled and even Damon looked pretty bored throughout. They really shouldn't have bothered with this one!

Ah, right, so that's the real reason for the Great Wall of China.

It's to keep out those pesky Tao Tei monsters that attack every 60 years or so.

Staring Matt Damon, this is a somewhat so-so film that, despite an intriguing premise and some solid visuals (the colour-coded Chinese army), just never really connects at all. Personally, I don't think it helps that the CGI is also somewhat dodgy, while Mr Damon seems to be putting on some sort of weird Irish accent and has little to no spark with either a pre-Mandalorian Pedro Pascal or with Willem Dafoe.

It wasn't a perfect adaption, but I still liked it, nonetheless. I had a problem with Jessica Chastain (but, I have problems with her in every movie that has her in it), she was wooden. Matt Damon did well as Watney, and the other supporting characters were great.
The BEST thing I overheard in the movie theater was 'is this a true story?'

Matt Damon continues as the agent trying to fill in the gaps in his memory in this fast paced and intriguing sequel and it's always interesting to see other sleeper agents being activated and then swiftly dispatched by Bourne, a very solid sequel that pulls you into the very strong storyline, it's what Bond should be and is trying hard to catch up.
