Anyway onto the movie Jim Carrey is perfectly cast as the cable guy stalker who stalks Matthew Broderick thruout the movie and to say I liked the movie this movie suits Carreys comedic timing down to a tee. didn't know jack black was in the movie or Ben Stiller who has basically has a cameo good film should watch more often

"For a comedy, I’d say probably Election you know? Frickin’ Alexander Payne, dude? Come on. Yeah, Matthew Broderick, Reese Witherspoon? So good. The perfect blend of real and absurd. Completely buyable characters… just turned up a couple notches. And these completely realistic scenarios and situations just turned up just a couple notches. Complete believable absurdity. It’s not just over the top."

"There is a bit of a theme to this list, it seems: almost all of these movies have at least one very juicy part for a woman. Much of this film has been lost to time for me since I last saw it—something something Chris Klein, blah blah Matthew Broderick—but I have never forgotten how perfect Reese Witherspoon is as Tracy Flick. She’s bossy, controlling, not very likable, but somehow deeply sympathetic. (I think Broadcast News’s Jane would have wanted to take Tracy on as an intern, and also possibly to kill her.)"

A film that had passed me by up until now I found to be a bit of a mixed bag. The central plot is very interesting and the theme of a fear of the power of technology and being only a few button clicks away from starting a war is still relevant and timely today. What I did struggle with it being a 1980’s film about computer technology it is of course now incredibly outdated. I laughed at the WOPR , the enormous war games simulator with its sinister blinking lights. The storytelling is strong though and a fresh faced Matthew Broderick makes for a likeable lead but I think it might actually be a rare film that I would prefer to see a contemporary remake of than watch again.

Skipping forward 28 years, John Hughes’ jewel in the crown owes a lot to Billy Wilder. It also borrows from every genre in the book. Reflecting its charming protagonist, this film is smart – so much smarter than it first appears. It allows you to be part of it from the very start, directing dialogue right at you out of the screen, and hopes you get every wink, nod and irreverent moment. We’ve all been teenagers, we all sing in the shower, we all lied to our parents, we all wished we could join a parade as guest of honour and drive a Ferrari into a ditch! Cool but geeky. Great music, great laughs, great dialogue, and the character Matthew Broderick will always be. An influence on every teen movie worth its salt ever since!

That one person everyone avoids
In This dark comedy about an unstable cable installer with a unhealthy addiction to stalking customers is one movie everyone can relate to wether it be a Fan, an Ex, jealous friend or secret admirer, this movie puts a great twist on a strangers friendship.

oddball cable installer Chip Douglas (Jim Carrey) decides to forcefully befriend new customer Steven Kovacs (Matthew Broderick) by offering him free premium cable. When Steven denies Chip his frequent need for companionship, Chip goes from oddball acquaintance to a obsessed psycho stalker. Though it's crystal clear to Steven, that cable guy chip is dangerous, it's convincing everyone close to him before its too late, that isn't going to be easy.

A perfectly dark tone quickly gets you glued in and works great for the movies characters and enhances the edginess for the plot.

The Lion King- such a classic. Its perfect, amazing, fantasic and phenomenal and than thier just had to remake last year, live action style because of $$$ and have beyonce voice one of the charcters and have a second soundtrack with rap stars??? Anyways, the songs are so excellent, you have... "Circle of Life", "I Just Cant Wait to be King", "Be Perpared", "Hakuna Matata" and "Can't You Feel The Love Tonight".

The plot: This Disney animated feature follows the adventures of the young lion Simba (Jonathan Taylor Thomas), the heir of his father, Mufasa (James Earl Jones). Simba's wicked uncle, Scar (Jeremy Irons), plots to usurp Mufasa's throne by luring father and son into a stampede of wildebeests. But Simba escapes, and only Mufasa is killed. Simba returns as an adult (Matthew Broderick) to take back his homeland from Scar with the help of his friends Timon (Nathan Lane) and Pumbaa (Ernie Sabella).

A classic film.
