4th of July is right around the corner, and between the health festival, the big costume party, and the designer drugs, the HankMed gang is very busy. As fun visit with these great characters, and I enjoyed the emphasis on crime over medicine. However, I really hated season 1 Evan returning.

Instead of doing a review for every season I'm just going to review this series as a whole. I loved it. It was funny. It had action. It was easy to to get sucked into the Hamptons life. I'm a big binge watcher of Netflix, so this is literally one of the last big series I haven't watched yet and it was awesome. If you love medicine, drama, mystery, or romance, I promise you will love this show!!!

State of Decay
State of Decay
Action/Adventure
State of Decay is the zombie game you didn't know you needed. In order to survive, you must not only rescue survivors but also scavenge for materials such as lumber, food, ammo, and medicine. You go on a side missions to help your fellow survivor communities. The map is fairly large and will keep you fairly busy exploring. Be warned, if a character dies, their death is permanent and will affect the moral of the other survivors.

This movie served exactly its purpose for me. Seeing the cast, you should reasonably expect a predictable action banger with a potential twist thrown in, right?

That's what you have here. A not terribly performed very cookie cutter, yet entertaining in its own right, story of vengeance. Throwing it on when that is EXACTLY what you need for the moment is just the right medicine. If you watch this expecting anything else, you will be disappointed.

This book is a memoir from when Matt Haig was 24 and suffered severe depression and anxiety. Matt discusses everything relating to depression and anxiety including medicines, his childhood, his symptoms, warning signs and things that make you worse. This book is so relatable, Matt doesn’t sugar coat it, he tells it how it is. It’s refreshing to read from someone’s perspective who has suffered from the black dog and actually gives a realistic account rather than a psychologist who has never experienced it first hand. Matt really speaks to the reader telling them that they’re not alone that many people have suffered from this and pulled through but also some of the people who haven’t. As a fellow sufferer of anxiety and depression I was ready for the anti – pills argument, but this didn’t happen, Matt realises that some people will need medicine to help, for me personally I sighed with relief, I take medicine to stop the panic attacks and I still take them for the fear of them re-occurring. I would rather be on medicine than suffer. Another thing I could relate to Matt was the fear of death and becoming a bit of a hypochondriac, I know my fear of death is irrational and my biggest fear is choking but with medicine and mindfulness techniques my brain no longer goes into overdrive and I can fully function. Matt Haig has become a writer due to his depression as it was a coping mechanism for him, sometimes people need to find something to occupy them and express themselves, again totally relatable. If you as someone who has suffered from depression reads this book I can guarantee that you will be nodding in agreement the whole way through. The chapters are short and discuss a certain topics, it’s very easy to read and flows well with some humour added. This book is not just helpful for the sufferer but really useful for people around them to realise what we have to deal with on a day-to-day basis.

I recommend this book to anyone that wants a real account of depression and anxiety.

Overall I rated this 4.5 stars out of 5

Where I found this book: I read The BFG in 3rd grade and basically fell in love with Roald Dahl. I went to my local library very soon after and looked for any Roald Dahl book. I came back with George’s Marvelous Medicine and I’m the better for it.

How it’s written: From George’s perspective, you get to see how awful his grandmother is and his hilarious remedy for it. Then read as the madness continues when it’s time to give grandma more medicine.

What I like about this book: For me, it was one of the funniest things I had read up to that point. My own grandma would say rude things to me and my sisters, which I guess is why I was drawn to this book. A combination of the hilarious writing and the wonderful plot had me absorbed by this book when I was young.

Final Thoughts: There is always something so ridiculous and curious about Roald Dahl’s work. He really knew how to make reading fun.

Jessica Erdas (463 KP) rated the Xbox One version of State Of Decay 2 in Video Games

An amazing continuation of the first State of Decay. On top of helping your fellow survivors and foraging for good (i.e. food, medicine, ammo, lumber) you must also maintain your vehicle. Unlike the first installment, the vehicles run on gas and must be refueled to continue driving around the maps. Not only is the base game incredibly captivating, the add on pack 'Heartland' includes the old map with new storylines for only $10. The graphics are impressive and the game itself gives you unlimited possibilities and hours of gorey fun.

How Coyote deals with culture shock (0 more)
Witty and chaotic, Coyote Blue is a unique read. Poor Samson Hunts Alone, or as he is known now Sam Hunter. His life is orderly and known. At least until Coyote appears. Where there is Coyote there is chaos. Now Sam has to figure out how to put his life together, get the girl, keep his biggest secret safe.
Filled with Coyote stories and lots of chaos. Also when they talk about medicine it's not magic but it's also not not magic. It is hard to describe.

"This book offers the best scientific guide to anti-aging and the perplexing question of why we age in the first place; in the future, Blackburn’s work on how DNA degrades over time could stand up as the key breakthrough in the field. The fact that Blackburn won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2009 testifies to her important findings, but it is also a symbolic victory for all the women who did major historic work on DNA, brain chemistry, space exploration, and other fields without receiving their due."
