Its ok film but not fantastic great fight scenes but did really need david beckham cameo in some places it felt like a medieval lock stock and smoking barrels charlie hunnam plays arthur well not sure jude law was not quite suited to play the villian. In the end just not worth a second viewing

"I saw this movie at Film Forum when I was in college. I remember watching all three hours of it with my mouth open. It fueled my interest in so many things: monks, bells, medieval Russia, structuring movies and plays like novels . . . I was taking a really dumb screenwriting class at the time, and this contradicted everything I had just been taught."

Fresh take on a classic
When I heard this was being made and saw the trailer, I thought, no thanks that looks rubbish. However, I watched it and I loved it. Charlie Hunnams acting was strong and powerful. Although I found Jude Laws character very weak. I actually found myself liking the urban take on this medieval classic.

Decent
I would be lying if I said that I have read every poem, but I have read a fair few. Reading early Scots is difficult (even for a Scot) but some of the medieval ballads are fun. Check out 'The Twa Corbies' or Jenny Nettles' holding her bairn under her oxter, good fun.
