My favourite avenger returns in a highly enjoyable superior sequel. Marvel has got the formula just right here with a perfect blend of humour and action. The plot isn’t overly complex or requiring you to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the timeline to enjoy but for those up on everything it does fill in some gaps of events between Infinity War and Endgame. The best thing about the film is of course Paul Rudd and I can’t think of anyone better suited for the role than him, this sequel improves on the original by having bigger roles for both Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas . The dynamic they have with Rudd makes for a very entertaining ride.

"It’s dramatically different [from The Godfather] in terms of this town and the world of it. It’s a good movie, tremendously. I’m a writer, so obviously I enjoy the content because it’s about writer things and writer dramas and writer people. It’s just one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. I can watch that movie over and over again. Robert Downey Jr. gives one of his best performances ever. And very funny. And I love Michael Douglas in it; he’s great. But it also has this wonderful capacity for pathos in this very earned way. It doesn’t feel kitsch. It feels really earned and honest, so it can play those lines really well."

DAMON

Will is gone. He hasn't been seen in months, and the texts coming from his phone are almost certainly forged. Something's wrong. We need to act now.

Michael is ready to tear down The Cove, Rika's hiding something, Evans Crist is a threat, and Winter's father is still out there. Everyone is off in a million directions, and we're vulnerable.

It's time to do this. It's time to claim our place.

RIKA

A few years ago, I never thought I'd be here. On board Pithom. Miles out at sea. At a table with Michael Crist, Kai Mori, and Damon Torrance—men I now consider family.

We've locked ourselves on this yacht for however long it takes to address our agenda, and we won't leave until everything is on the table. Even things I don't want to talk about. Things Michael doesn't know.

We will find Will. We will solidify our plans, and we will remove any threats.

If we survive Conclave.

This was a quick catch-up with the characters also a lead into the next book. It was a quick read and I like it I’m looking forward to the next one.
