Civilization Building Strategy Perfection
I have yet to play Civilization VI, but Civilization V has been my favorite in the series so far. They switched tiles from being four-sided to five-sided, and that extra direction adds plenty of nuance to the game by itself. Military units are streamlined, cities get bigger and better looking as they grow, and it's always a joy to see the wonders you build appear in the landscape. I've sunk a lot of time into full length matches, and usually prefer to win through military action or science, but I have managed a few diplomatic victories as well. The religion system has never really interested me, but I'm sure winning that way appeals to some. It's a great and massive game to get lost in.

War United Them! Music Made Them A Family!
When their spouses are called to war, a group of military wives form a choir to deal with the distraction of the impending war. Unaware of what it takes to start and form a choir, the ladies learn that they have a lot more in common than what they think. The war may have united them but their love of music is what made them a family.
When I watched the trailer for the movie, I was left somewhat baffled. I couldn't tell if the film was garnered more for fans of music or military families. But being a fan of Kristin Scott Thomas, I threw all doubts and hesitation about the film away and watched it...and I'm glad I did! Not knowing much about the story and it's characters, I became very enthralled with the movie. At first viewing, I thought I was watching a "military" version of the movie Pitch Perfect. Not knowing that the movie was based on a true story, it peaked my interest to learn more about the "true" military wives choir. After multiple watches though, I can honestly say that the overall plot and feel of the movie makes this a must see film. Fans of music and military films will enjoy this movie very immensely. A must see and highly recommended film!!!

Cindy Gerard really does know how to write military romance. I really do love her writing but I felt like there is something missing with this series. The writing is good, I always am enraptured by the characters but it just doesn't have the quality of her other military/special ops series.
With that said, I really liked this book. I felt that it was a little slower paced but all in all, the characters were well written and the plot was interesting. I wish that it help my attention more but it was a good read.

Whatchareadin (174 KP) rated Bootyversary in Books

Peyton and Lance are about to celebrate their one year Bootyversary. They have been making booty calls for the past year. With Lance in the military and shipping out every few weeks, it's hard for them to make a plan to be together. Plus, Peyton doesn't want to be with a man in the military. That was how she grew up and she didn't want to have to go through all the worry her mom went through every time her father was away. But they love each other, right? Will love conquer all?
Thank you to the authors and BookSprout for a copy of this book to read and review.
Another quick cute story from Frankie and C.M. For me, this one wasn't as exciting as the first book in the series Bootyogomy (The Booty Call Series #1) by Frankie Love. I think it was because I knew what was going to happen at the end. I still enjoyed the book and will read the rest of the series.
I never had the desire to date anyone in the military. Not for the same reasons as Peyton, but because I knew a few people in the military growing up and there were not my cup of tea. If you're looking for a quick steamy romance with a HEA, pick this one up.
