Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated Happy Hour of the Damned (Amanda Feral, #1) in Books
Dec 30, 2019
Imagine a Mean Girl growing into a Mean Woman. Then, imagine this Mean Woman turning into a zombie. That's Amanda Feral. This book is hilarious, disgusting, and adorably snotty.
Amanda's friend goes missing so she teams up with her zombie friend Wendy to track her down. This book provides one of the, uh, most interesting depictions of burlesque I've ever read.

It's a very unlikely pairing that works really well.
Ferrell is back to his funny self here which has been missing of late, I'm looking at you Sherlock Holmes...
Forced to work together they are hilarious and with Cameos from The Rock and Sam Jackson this was a comedy that somehow made it under the radar...I'm a peacock and I gotta fly..

Loved it!

I absolutely loved this audiobook! The story made me feel the emotions the characters felt. The only thing I was left wishing for was a bit more information towards the end. I got the whole story, I just felt like something was missing. Overall, I loved this book and am looking forward to more B. A. Paris books.

Enjoyed this
But there was something missing. I've read a handful of other books by the author and they always pulled at me emotionally. Apart from when I thought she was dead, I didn't really feel much for the characters until the end. That's not to say I didn't like them individually. Mason and Alex were two of my favourites.
