Many thanks to NetGalley and Avon UK for this ARC.

M.J. Ford is back with a gripping new thriller, the events in this book follow on from what happened in Hold My Hand 6 months later.
As young college students go missing from different colleges in Oxford, Josie fights with her superiors as to the motives behind the disappearances. Only she sees that there is a deadly pattern to the disappearances and she is the link that they are all missing.

I loved this book and had it devoured in 1 day as I just couldn't put it down. The plot is well developed as are the characters. This is to me a fast paced thriller which kept me hanging and guessing all the way to the end.
The development of the mastermind behind it all was tremendous. There are side plots to this story which are so cleverly done to keep you guessing and gripped.
I would give more than 5 stars if possible and look forward to more from this author!

383. A Dark Place. A small town murder mystery and it was pretty awesome. We meet Donald a sanitation worker, a quiet guy, when it comes to work he follows the rules to a T. He's not the smartest of human beings but when his interest in the case of a local missing boy, he becomes Sherlock Holmes, ok maybe not that good but... Donald only the knows the family of the missing boy, because they wave to him when he stops by to pick up their trash, and apparently that is enough for Donald to conduct his own investigation and frankly, does it better than the local police. Donald definitely digs in deep and unearths some troubling truths about the small town. The main character Donald played by Andrew Scott reminded me of Mark Ruffalo playing Forrest Gump. I think you'll see it too. It is a short movie, but does manage to tell a good tale and also include a decent sub plot. For the lover of the small town mystery movie, this is worth the time! The movie is in the same format as the unfriended movies, it takes place entirely through social media.
At the beginning we see a montage of clips and photos from the Kim family's life where we learn that the mum (pam) passes away from cancer. Fast forward a few years later and Margot - pam and David's daughter- is all grown up and everything seems to be going fine, that is until Margot goes missing.
David starts frantically searching on social media only to discover he didn't know Margot as much as he thought he did, and finds out some unusual information about her.
For a one time watch I did enjoy this movie, it shows how things can develop online from parent blaming to people pretending to be the missing persons friend, and writing 'heartfelt' messages. It also shows the hidden dangers of the online community such as how easy it is to obtain information. It was very gripping and kept me glued right to the twist at the end which I was not at expecting.
