Didn't expect much from this and there isn't much here worth seeing. Kinda like a Ready or Not wannabe but no where near that level. Tries to be more serious and fails badly. There is quite a long slow build up for a short film with very little Horror content. Then descends into typical clichéd fodder towards the end. You are not missing much if you ignore this invitation.

Jen’s daughter goes missing for four days whilst on an art holiday in the Pesk District (England). When she is found, she won’t say what happened to her. She was self-harming and had suicidal thoughts before she went missing, so everyone thinks the worst and hopes for the best. She is found, and they go back to London together, and try to live with what has happened. But it’s not that easy. Jen desperately wants to know what happened to Lana during this time, and has scenarios running through her mind constantly. I did wonder if Jen had mental health issues as well, and I’m still left wondering that after I’ve finished the book. Hugh, Jen’s husband and Lana’s dad, is a nice character: thoughtful, reliable. Jen is hard work, and Lana is VERY hard work. A confused, scared teenager, who comes across as selfish and unpleasant (so an average teenager in some cases).
The end of the book seemed to sum it all up: it appeared to me to be a self-realisation.
Worth a read, even though it can be quite hard-going at times.

I loved "Elizabeth Is Missing" - can't wait to read this one!

Missing the slasher element
Watching this sequel has really made me want to reevaluate & appreciate the first film more than I did originally, as it was actually pretty good. And I dont think the sequel quite matches up to it.

This film takes on a mainly sci-fi theme and whilst this is a smart move to do something different to the first film, I found myself missing the slasher horror. I don't think we really needed this sci-fi based explanation of the events in the first film, like many sequels this definitely suffers from a case of less is more. It's funny though like the original, and there's another fun montage of death scenes to bring in the laughs. There are parts of this story though that are a lot more serious than you'd expect or want, which brings the film down a little. There's no place for seriousness in a film like this!

Overall it's not bad and a refreshing change to a lot of other films that take themselves far too seriously, but it just doesn't quite meet up to the first.
