Singing Sharp and Mending Broken Hearts
Riley Redgate is an up-and-coming author and recent graduate of Kenyon College. In her second novel, her main character goes to an arts school and has never been cast in a show. To keep herself on her toes with competition, she goes undercover and auditions for an all-male a capella group. She never expected it to go so far. It reminds me of the anime Oran High School Host Club, with Jordan being a scholarship kid masquerading in an all-male group. I wasn’t sure if a capella would stand as well on the page as it did on the silver screen, but Redgate’s prose throughout the novel sparked my imagination so much that I wasn’t worried about missing the actual notes. Striving for a sense of belonging in an artistic and scholastic setting really hits home with me, as an acting major in college.

I like to thank smash bomb for my prize first. As this is the second time ive reviewed the movie since it came out at the cimema. This time the blu ray version as is my first blu ray review ive given the film a higher rating thats for the extras i like the film it reminds me of the 2013 reboot game which i got to play on the ps3. Alica vikander plays lara croft before she became tomb radier we know. The supporting cast including walter goggins and domic west give good support. Hope they make sequel some day. Anyway to the extras all the extras are on the short but thats okay my favorite extra is the history of the games which takes u thru the history from the game to the 2013 reboot. The only thing missing is a commentry shame but worth a rewatch again on blu ray

Not a summer camp that I'd be frequenting...
Emma Davis an artist, returns to the summer camp (Camp Nightingale) that she went to as a girl. During her last (and only) stay, the three other girls in her cabin went missing with no trace, never to be found again. Emma's artwork reflects her inability to forget what happened.
When Camp Nightingale reopens after 15 years, the owner, Frances (Franny) Harris-White, invites her along to be an art instructor. Emma goes along to try and lay her ghosts to rest.
This had a real air of menace throughout. It felt like there was a possible abductor around every corner. A great thriller, and I very much enjoyed it. I have to admit to not liking any of the characters though. I didn't even feel sorry for Emma, and believe me, she has plenty for people to feel sorry for. This story is such dark and compulsive reading though. Great stuff!

Purrfectly Fun Return Visit
It’s opening day for Maddie James’ new cat café on Daybreak Island. However, the day has hardly started when Adele, one of her volunteers, gets into a shouting match with socialite Holly over one of the cats. When Holly turns up dead, naturally Adele becomes a suspect. Maddie is sure the police are missing something. Can she figure out what it is?
I love the setting of this series. Daybreak Island is a place I’d love to visit – between the murders, of course. The mystery gets a bit sidetracked early on here due to some strong sub-plots, but I was enjoying those sub-plots as well, and things get back on track before too long with a surprising ending. The suspects are all strong, but it’s the main characters who made me excited to return to this series. They are all fantastic, and spending time with them was as enjoyable as spending time in the setting.

Not A Lot Going On
This book is intended for middle grade readers, so I was expecting a simple story. It ended up being to simple. The author underestimates what the reader will follow and comprehen, and the story greatly suffers because of this. The characters were interesting, but I would have liked the writer to spend more time explaining the characters past and showing them develop new relationships. Cody and his dad particularly had a relationship that I would have liked to know more about.
I did enjoy the story style of change back and forth between Cody's and Sophie's journals. They both had unique views on the events happening around them, and Cody's point of view gave the reader some much needed insight on Sophie.
Overall this was a quick read, and it did have some strong points; however the story feels as if its missing something that keeps it from being anything special.

Kind of a bore and confusing in the beginng.
A fun and captivating story that will be a definite must read.
I received I'm Not Missing by Carrie Fountain from NetGalley to read and review for my full honest opinion.
When I did first start reading it though, I remember it being kind of slow, a bore and confusing. But as I was getting further and further in, it became a really good read. There were a few grammatical errors that took away from the surrounding story and because of it being slow, boring, and confusing in the beginning, a star is taken away from its rating.
The overall story was an extremely fun and light read. There were moments that I could not put the novel down at all because I just wanted to keep finding out what happened next. 4/5 stars would recommend.

Lovely idea
I love mt Instax, it is fun to use, and fits in my pockets (mainly because my pockets are huge). Unfortunately it was not too great for what I got it for which was for a child's birthday. Each cartridge carries only 10 prints, meaning even with something small like the party I got it for the film is too little. I ran out of film within the first 10 minutes of the party, and spent most of my time deciphering how to reload the camera. Also as it is small it went missing a lot.
I loved it for my day to day use which doesn't use a lot, and it was lovely. I found magnetic tape and with this it has changed my life.

Great Show
I really enjoyed this show. Its a lot different from the things I normally watch, but thats part of its charm.
I liked how the show has a lot going on, but not in a way that feels to overwhelming. Each new piece flows nicely into the others without it being confusing.
The characters were great. A group of misfit kids taking on a monster and the government at the same time is pretty impressive. They added a fun side to the show that kept it from being to serious.
The only complaint I have is how slow the show starts of. The first 2 episodes are a little boring. Its great when things pick up, but I think a lot of viewers will drop the show before it gets to that point. If you are watching it for the first time you really need to watch at least 3 episodes before you make a judgment. Otherwise you will be missing out.

I received this book from Jar O' Marbles in return for a fair and honest review.
This is a short contemporary romance that nevertheless manages to convey the whole build up to the romance plus the anguish that Jack has lived through. There is depth to this novella which usually is missing due to the nature of the book. Somehow, Kate Austin has managed to give you their backstory, and how their relationship developed, plus Jack's history, all in a few short pages. This made the story all the more enjoyable.
If I had one complaint, it would be that you didn't find out anything really about Kara's creepy ex-fiance and family but that isn't really relevant anyway. That's just me being nosy.
Thoroughly enjoy this novella and although this story was wrapped up exceedingly well, was left wanting more from The Lake House. Highly recommended.
