"Run, Ronnie, Run! From the creators of Mr. Show — David Cross and Bob Odenkirk. It’s another movie full of one-liners. It’s a little more adult than Juno, but to me it’s kind of a mix of Rock Star, Juno, and Totally Awesome. It’s kind of just dumb, funny humor, also kind of a mockumentary about reality shows. Pretty much half of my daily vocabulary is from that movie."

Better than expected
I'm surprised at how good this actually was. It's a great take on a mockumentary, and probably the best I've seen in a long time. It helps if you've already seen heard some of the Lonely Island's music, as then you pretty much know what you're in for. There's some really funny bits in here, and the reference to 30 Seconds to Mars nearly had me rolling on the floor.

In hindsight 6 was a little unfair considering I did enjoy it, so I've upped it to a 7. Although I did think some of it was good and funny, there were a few parts that didn't quite fit my sense of humour!

Must watch mockumentary
I've probably seen Best in Show a dozen times or more my parents used to watch it non-stop when I was younger and now that I'm older I guess I still can't get enough of it.

It really is one of the best mockumentaries out there it's absolutely hilarious the plot is simple but amazing the cast is perfect each character is just so outrageous on their own that when you put them together it really just is Best in Show.

Jemaine Clement, brilliant as always (1 more)
Taika Waititi, also brilliant as always
Very Funny
Decided to watch this classic again as part of my Halloween movie session. A very funny mockumentary following a bunch of vampires who all share a house and bicker over things like not doing the dishes or not cleaning up the mess after one of them has feasted on some virgins. Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi are both brilliant in this. Rhys Darby also makes a very funny appearance as leader of a bunch of local werewolves and those are some of my favourite moments ("We're werewolves, not swearwolves").

"A great mockumentary about a reunion of three folk bands that’s gently observed but also spot-on. I love how it quietly gets behind the scenes into the backbiting and the jealousy that leads up to their reunion concert, and I especially love the attitudes towards the shiny sellouts. The characters are so well done, too – the troubled former couple, the old-school trio, the Folksmen – but not every moment is mined for gags, which is what makes it work. You can tell everyone taking part genuinely loves music, and that’s why Christopher Guest always gets it right."

"Rock Star is an interesting movie for me; I watched it probably around 15 times. I love what it represents; I love that it’s almost a mockumentary of ’80s excess. And any movie with Jennifer Aniston is always a good movie. But more than anything for me, I love the music in it. I actually have bought the soundtrack twice — I lost the first one — and I’m a big Steel Dragon fan. I like Steel Dragon enough to know there are two singers who recorded the music for it, Jeff Scott Soto and Miljenko Matijevic from Steelheart. I know more than I should"
