Rolling Stone's 366th greatest album of all time
Great modern country album, keeping Cash's sombre yet smirking demeanour. Including a number of covers and originals, setting the theme for his better known subsequent albums.

Modern day Hemingway without the tangential narratives
Taking the title from the original Ernest Hemingway novel, Haruki Murakami has updated it for a modern audience in different parts of the world, primarily Japan.

It is a series of portraits of men who have chosen the path of loneliness away from women and the void that it creates when running away from intimacy. Beautiful, simplistic with a wonderful flow, Murakami has a spectacular way of building characters and their anecdotal narratives.

This is the third book in a series set in a modern world were modern technology has failed. It's winter, which has made daily survival very hard. Yet things get worse when Mark Green is accused of murder. Can the Branning family clear him? Once again, I was pulled into this world. And the mystery was actually well developed here as well.

Average Slasher
Available on Amazon Prime at present. Starts fairly well as some partying on campus gets a bit out of hand. After this though the films trundles along in first gear and takes quite a well to get to the first kill.
Tries to be more modern with the use of text messages and phone displays being shown on screen. Overall though it barely gets going before it's all over. One more for Slasher fans.
