After reading Interview with a Vampire over ten years ago, honestly, the last person I wanted to read a book about was that a**hole, Lestat. So, I put off reading it.

Well, I decided to try it, via audiobook, and Lestat is WAY more interesting than that whiny little b**** Louis. First, Simon Vance is an amazing narrator, and I highly recommend the audiobook.

Lestat's story is detailed and fascinating, starting out before he became a vampire, up to modern times, his rock-star period. Lestat is intelligent (majority of the time), a bit arrogant, and drama queen extreme. I loved every second of it.

The first book on a magical journey. The Harry Potter series and the wizarding world developed within it is unparalleled in modern literature. (0 more)
It's written much simpler than the later books. (0 more)
A classic but written for a younger audience than the later books
I love Harry Potter. I got this book at the age of 7 and it definitely changed my life. This is a wonderful childrens story and accessible to a younger audience. This book is set before the series gets too dark so I would recommend it for all ages. However the characters are a bit one dimensional at times compared to the later books.

A chilling horror masterpiece from the master whose influences can be seen in almost all modern movies we see today.
Perkins is the titular character with a boyish persona and a cold grinning look that will pass straight through you. The infamous shower scene is both iconic and often imitated with wonderful direction and a rousing score that is both subtle and apt.
It may seem dated to some as unbelievably it's almost 60 years old, but if you stick with it you will be rewarded with some of the best scenes in movie history that at the very least has to be admired and appreciated.
