MsKris1031 (8 KP) rated Orphan Train: A Novel in Books
Jul 30, 2018
What a good book! Vivian and Molly are both strong women who have faced/are facing many challenges in life. The relationship they build and the way they help each other is inspiring. I'm glad I read it.
Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2065 KP) rated In a Gilded Cage (Molly Murphy, #8) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
In 1903 New York City, Molly is working on two cases - one tracking down information on an orphan's parents, the other trying to get proof on a cheating husband. When one of her clients turns up dead, Molly really has her hands full. These books are a wonderful trip back in time. There is a strong sense of place and time. But the mystery is strong and the characters grow in every book.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2065 KP) rated Murphy's Law (Molly Murphy Mysteries, #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Molly Murphy flees for her life from her native Ireland and winds up on Ellis Island for the opening day in 1901. The luck of the Irish evades her, however, when someone dies while they are on the island and Molly stands accused of the crime. The set up, while necessary, slows the beginning down. However this is still a good series opener to a character I now love.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2065 KP) rated The Family Way (Molly Murphy, #12) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Molly is visiting her mother-in-law to try to escape the heat when she starts on the trail of a missing Irish immigrant. Can Molly find her, or will her pregnancy keep her home and safe? The plot was uneven, although it got better as the book progressed. And I am really tired of the usual conflict with Molly's now husband Daniel. Please, give him something else to do in the books!

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2065 KP) rated The Ghost of Christmas Past (Molly Murphy #17) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
December of 1906 finds Molly Murphy Sullivan hoping that the new year will bring some changes and good news. When she, her husband Daniel, and their son Liam get invited to a house party for Christmas on the Hudson, Molly thinks this might help take her mind off everything going on in her life. However, she finds the household has a weird tension to it, with relationships she can’t quite read. Then she learns that a child disappeared from this house 10 years before right before Christmas. Molly is determined to figure out what happened, but has it been too long?
As is often the case, we start out with some updates on the series regulars before Molly fully plunges into the mystery, but once she does, I was hooked. In fact, as soon as I got off work, I sat down to finish. While I don’t feel like Daniel has grown, I love the rest of the cast, and the new characters are very strong. There is a more serious tone than you might expect from a Christmas mystery, but the contrast works well in this case.

CHILLFILTR (46 KP) rated Tough Love by Molly Moore in Music
Jul 11, 2019
With the new single Tough Love from Molly Moore we get attitude and some badass groove. Molly Moore has been paying the bills writing hits for artists like Felix Cartal and DubVision ever since her early days in New York City. Now based in Los Angeles she is moving sonically into a more experimental production style and looking to build on the success of her debut EP Shadow of the Sun.
Moore discusses her plan to push her sound a bit closer to Banks and London Grammar; we think she has already found a place between Annie Lennox and Jamie Lidell.

Poetry about life
Molly Naylor writes poetry about her life. Some of it is really funny, some very insightful. She calls it "a manifesto of my life" and a confession of sorts.
I saw Molly perform many of her poems in this collection on a "Poetry Pub Crawl" (I feel that this may be a very British phenomenon, and if you're British and have never experienced one, then go out and find one! They're great fun!) at the Chester Literature Festival. She really was great and the reason I bought her book was exactly her ability to get her message across through her poetry. Being a grown up isn't easy!

Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated Sunset Scandal (Sunset Island, #9) in Books

Emma Cresswell is kinda stupid. Seriously, she's sure that someone framed Kurt and her mind goes to Austin and not the chick who tried to stab her and blamed her for the ruination of her life?
SERIOUSLY?
This book was saved by the intro to Darcy and Molly.
