Not bad, but confused
I'd heard a lot of good things about this and never got round to seeing it at the cinema so was glad to see it had finally made it onto Prime. However whilst it wasnt bad, it was a little disappointing.

My main problem with this film is that it seemed to be very confused about it's audience. Is it a scary kids film like Goosebumps? Or is it a more adult horror? And sadly it never really answers these questions and seems to swing between the childish to adult. As the main characters are children, this leans a lot towards a younger audience especially with their conversation and humour and the basis for the entire story does feel a little younger. However some of the actual scares and horror aspects feel a lot more adult. Some of the monsters are actually rather creepy and there is a bit of violence, which I'm guessing is why this has been given a 15 rating.

I enjoyed the actual stories themselves, especially the monsters as they were very well done and the CGI was quite impressive. The cast were okay and overall the film held my attention and was enjoyable to a point, I just found the mixed audience level rather frustrating.

Fun Builds, Great Story
I love the game because it is done in a way that makes building fun and tells a great story. It also improved on issues that the first game had such as having to build your base when monsters would destroy it. They made the villagers more interactive with your builder so that they actually help you rebuild the base if it gets destroyed and will help build things on their own as well. The combat system is improved and you actually have a companion with you helping you fight. You can be as creative as you want with your own island and you can play co-op with friends which is a lot of fun. You can also share your builds with other people in the game via a notice board and can see their builds as well with the snapshot feature. You can take a picture of your builds and share it. It's interesting to see how creative everyone gets with their builds. The game is so much fun to play and time passes very quickly as you build, fight monsters, and follow the story. Overall, it is a great game that is fantastic for everyone.

Album Favorite

"Beastie Boys and David Bowie are two of my favorite artists. The David Bowie album I am going to choose is Scary Monsters, which is kind of different. He always reinvented himself and he was doing something in the 1980s with Scary Monsters that nobody was doing. You can kind of hear stuff on that album that a lot of groups are doing now like, 'Aw, yeah I know where you got that from. That’s off that album.' It’s not one of his most popular albums to everybody, but I think it’s my favorite. There was a song on that, ‘Teenage Wildlife,’ and if you don’t like that, we don’t have to associate with each other. If you don’t get that song—it's cool man, I’ll see you around. “‘Teenage Wildlife’ is just epic. It’s like five or six minutes long and it kind of crescendos and builds into this insane vocal of Bowie wailing. I think I would pay $5,000 dollars to see footage of that recording session. I don’t know how he hits the notes that he’s doing and how long he does it but he’s just belting it out. You know he was feeling something when he was doing it. It’s just a cool song."

Naughty girls need love too.

A beautiful monster, that’s what I am. My packaging is just a little nicer than the creatures you hear about dwelling in your closet.

With three baddies for my mates, things are definitely getting interesting. I think I’ve even convinced them not to kill each other.

But I have a new purpose, someone is hurting our kind. Stealing Charmed magic in arcane rituals that leave my friends drained and dead, and I won’t allow it.

It’s time for them to find out why even the Monsters fear me.

I am the bad guy

I absolutely loved this books! The only reason they are not getting 5 stars is at a few points I Dami got on my nerves. But other than those few moments it was a good story with amped up spice for the second book. Also good spice not the boring sort you just flick through. Highly recommended for those that love supernatural books with some good spicy bits! Plus if you only read it for one thing then read it for Grim!!!

Not my favourite
It's been a while since I saw this film, but one of the most important things I came away with after watching this film was how forgettable it was. It was no way in the league of other renowned Pixar films such as Monsters Inc or Toy Story, and it was too far fetched and a little silly in comparison to the other films.

While I enjoy mythology, and it's a great way for young people to explore other cultures, I don't think it's for adults as such.

This is a story about a 10 year old boy named Jack. Jack has Aspergers and is misunderstood by other kids and adults. To complicate things, he has a major fear of the outside and will not leave the house at all. Recently, he has been enthralled with drawing. Drawing monsters... Very eerie! I won't say horrifying, but it was definitely good and creepy. It starts off easy, and gradually it gets harder to put down. The ending was ALMOST abrupt, but all of a sudden was a perfect ending. Also, this one takes place in Maine!
