Haley Mathiot (9 KP) rated Is There a Monster Over There? in Books
Apr 27, 2018
Poor Mabel is afraid of monster hiding in her room. She and her cat hide from the monster in her fort. But one day Mabel questions whether they’re all that bad. She finds out that the monster is just as scared of her as she is of him, and then they become friends and spend the day playing and dressing up and having tea. Mabel isn’t scared of monsters anymore. This is a very cute story about not being afraid and being brave enough to take the chance of making a friend. The illustrations are adorable! The monster is cute and not to scary.

Camp Fun!
I am a big fan of Noelle Stevenson after reading Nimona. It was no surprise to me that this book was awesome! This comic has the same kind of strange girls being themselves, no matter how odd or different, vibe. Mix in some weirdness, some supernatural woodland creatures, fun adventures, an overbearing camp counselor, and a camp leader who seems a little flighty, and you have Lumberjanes. The girls’ robust personalities are so varied, and are illustrated so well. It is refreshing. The book was fun, interesting, hilarious, and appropriate for everyone. I cannot wait to pickup volume 2!!!

Fun Adventure With Friends
The game is so much fun to play. It's more fun playing with friends and working as a team to take down monsters. The different areas are beautiful and fun to explore. Gathering resources is pretty straightforward and you can craft items and armor. While the gameplay doesn't hold your hand every step of the way, it is very well done. There's always something to do and it's great doing it all with friends and other players.

Fun
This movie was pretty much what I expected it to be - a little cheesy, but with some cool effects. They did well with the monsters - although it seemed strange that two of the three creatures developed more than just size and aggression while the gorilla just got bigger/stronger/ more aggressive but was otherwise the same(watch and see what I mean). Anyway, the acting was pretty good and the cinematography was, too. Overall this was a fun, entertaining movie that could be watched with the whole family. Plenty of action, some bloody stuff(nothing too nasty) and a good dose of comic relief. Worth a watch!

This is Lincoln Preston's (collaboration of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child) sequel to their earlier novel Relic.
As befits any sequel, the canvas is larger this time around, with the novel set in (and below) the entirety of Manhattan rather than just in Manhattan's Museum on Natural History (where Relic was set). It seems there are monsters in the sewers now ...
The novel also pretty much the same cast as the earlier book (Dr Frock, Margo Green, Bill Smithback, Lieutenant D'Agosta and Special Agent Pendergast), not all of whom who are who they appear to be, and is indeed a pretty gripping read!

Format is very different (1 more)
Easy to learn and play
Lite and playful castle seige co-op
I really enjoy this little gem. The format is different in that the board is played as a giant pie chart with various ringed zones based on proximity. Its co-op and everyone works to fight an non-stop onslaught of monsters attacking the central castle from around the board. Its fun, fast, and non-stop action. Everyone very much works together and it has a clear end. The boulders are a little too much of random chance in my opinion that can make or break a win, but overall I enjoy this breezy game.
