This is a movie that I have enjoyed so much from start to finish, the giants are amazingly done, you don’t get to see much of them, but when you do, you have the feeling of their sheer power and fear that Barbara is creating in these creatures.

But with the underlying story that her mother is ill and she takes herself off into a fantasy world to battle giants to escape the reality of true-life is so nicely done, I found myself very emotional towards the end of the film, but still lifted that Barbara has fought her way through against giants, bullies and the fears of losing her mother.

A Hidden Gem
I was looking for something to watch and I stumbled upon I Am Mother in the recently added section on Netflix. The trailer intrigued me and so we sat down to watch it and wow, what a hidden gem. The plot and characters were fantastic and so worth watching.

Out of all the novellas so far in this series this one has to be my favorite. Mark goes home to be with his parents after discovering what happened to Rebecca. His mother is having surgery for breast cancer and Mark discovers Crystal can be a welcome distraction. An excellent quick read.

Ella and Charlies get themselves in trouble as well. Things gets worse after their grandmother comes to stay for a little while. Things start to startle Geneva while her mother starts to put some things together. It a fun read but not for children. It deals with teenage things and adult things.
