Kind of forgettable
Alicia Vikander is perfectly cast as Lara Croft, but doesn't have much to do in this very predictable, nothing new story. Feels like The Mummy movies, kind of boring in some parts and the 3rd act is a big let down.

Maybe they tried to play this one a little less on the CGI which is great, but still has to be interesting.

Hopefully, they will still make another on of these but make it more interesting.

Lacking something to keep it from greatness
The characters were all right. Humor was there. Generic plot I thought that dragged at times. Nothing really special and just kind of going through the motions.

The bad guys were sort of generic, maybe supposed to be this way, not quite sure. II'm not the biggest fan of generic CGI movies anyways; although I did just get a new TV so it looks amazing/fantastic.

Probably in the bottom third of the MCU.

The Big Stone Gap book series was a wonderful read. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters....Ave Maria, Jack Mac, Iva Lou, Fleeta, Pearl...and all the others. Great stories, made all the more real because the author is from Big Stone Gap, VA. I've heard that they are making the first novel into a movie. Should be interesting. I feel that most books turned into movies do not usually turn out well, with a few exceptions. I highly recommend this series.

Meh
Ok, this was a strange one. I would list it as a "dramatic comedy" (is that a thing?). With some semi-fun characters and some (kinda predictable) twists it was interesting enough to get through the whole thing. The cinematography was good and the acting was, well, ok. Not the greatest comedy out there but I honestly think Jason Bateman movies are hit or miss. Overall, I'd say this was fun enough to make it worth a watch on "movie" night.

Up there with the rest 9/10
For someone who has only ever watched the first three star wars movies from way back when and never seen any of the new ones, watching this was a first for me. But after getting some info that may be needed to watch this film from my husband I actually really enjoyed this film.

I love films that show the back stories of characters and I feel this did it really well.

May watch again some time soon.

When the 10th anniversary edition of Twilight was announced, I wasn't really interested. I was super into it before the movies, but reading it now, you see all the editing mistakes.
Though, when it was revealed a gender-bending version of Twilight was going to be included, I knew I had to read that clusterf***. It is so completely ridiculous, what were those names?? I loved every lame-o moment of it. Also, she did get to fix all of her wonky mistakes, which I appreciated.

Not bad
The acting, cinematography, story were all well done. Some background on Elise and her history but with parts that tie the series together(they all have that). This indee seemed a little more predictable but still very entertaining. I'm wondering if they're going to continue the series with her niece playing a main role. Anyway, if you like the other insidious movies you'll enjoy this one. This and "The Conjuring" series a.r.e two of thre betterf horror series out today. Worth a watch!

I was amazed at this movie.
The story was just ok
The acting was great
Action was great
But what go me to liking this movie was the style. The technical side is what got me. Camera shot were great. Shooting this as a movie from the 70s great. They even brought in the beginning credits like movies prior to the 80s. If it was not for how clean cut the shots were i would have thought this was a cult classic from the 70s.

This book should be required reading for everyone on the planet. If you have ever wanted to curl up in a ball and die because someone you love is with someone else or you think something is going on and make up full length movies in your head on what you think is going on this is for you. If you think you can't be happy without someone else this is for you. It will wake you, so beautifully written and powerful beyond words. Life changing.

Finally a decent guy Ritchie movie I actually liked after king Arthur and aladdin which I haven't seen. Back to download Ng the kinda movie which he's famous for eastend gangster type of movie. Acting excellent plenty of swearing which would make you're mother blush. For me the standout acting goes to high Grant playing against type not his usual and it works. Probably the ne of my favourite movies of the year so far
