If you are a fan of Star Wars, especially of the new interconnected canon, this book is for you. Including a timeline, a who's who of important figures in the Star Wars universe, information on the more important planets in the Star Wars galaxies, and then more detailed maps of the areas of importance on each of these planets, this books has a little bit of everything to help you map out the where/when/who of the new canon. Very informative and artistically detailed, this is an excellent addition to any Star Wars fan's library. I'm hoping that as future movies, books, and cartoons are released, they will release updated editions of this book to include the new locales. A Star Wars geek's dream!

It's A Blast
This movie is directed by David Leitch, the guy who did the John Wick movies, so going in what I expected was essentially John Wick with a female lead. This movie turned out to be much more than that. There is an interesting narrative built around the fast paced action and the characters are all well rounded. Theron is brilliant in the lead role, MacAvoy is also fantastic as per usual. The rest of the cast including John Goodman, Sofia Boutella and Eddie Marsen are good too. The soundtrack and backdrop of this movie provide an interesting tone also and overall, it is a fantastic spy action thriller.

Not What I Expected
This movie surprised me in a good way. If you are a fan of movies like the Conjuring and Insidious and that is the sort of tone and style that you are expecting from this, then you will probably be disappointed. This movie is so much more than that. I don't think I've seen tension done this well in a horror scenario since 10 Cloverfield Lane last year. The performances are solid all around and we are given a good amount of context for the drastic decisions that we see certain characters make. This movie is chilling and thought provoking and is probably more creepy than it is scary, but it is still most definitely worth a watch.

Drax became annoying
I enjoyed the movie, but I don't think it's one of the better marvel movies. I thought the first one was better, but there was a lot to like. Chris Pratt is still one of the best blossoming movie stars. Kurt Russell is a treasure, and he really gets to shine. Yondu steals the show. There's a lot of pathos in the movie, but it does drag. The bits with rocket and groot with the Ravengers really drag. Every scene with Drax almost hurt to watch. I liked him in the first movie, but they absolutely beat the joke into the ground with his character. Still a fun enough movie, probably won't see it again

Oh this is a total version of what I got used to watch so far from al Thor movies , and as far as I can say from my own point of view and my own judgement I loved the way they have made this movie .... it is much tinier than I was expecting with different humour approaches that surprised me quite a few time and also it keeps a very interesting story line that will make you be curious of what's going to happen next .
So overall it is a very good movie from my side and I would definitely recommend you guys seing it and let me k ow what is your opinion.

Thank you, and I hope you will or had enjoyed this movie.

I hate horror movies. And yet, from the first trailer, I couldn't wait to see this film.

I'm a huge John Krasinski and Emily Blunt fan, so that was the first part, but to know that he also had a part in the writing and direction, my interest was piqued.

I was blown away by it. It is the first time I have ever enjoyed myself in a horror film. Ever. I did get scared. There was definitely a psychological weight. Most importantly, I got choked up where I was supposed to.

It was a marvelously written and acted film and had a theme that I think will stand the test of time. A theme where to some extent... The monster... Isn't really the monster.

Thoroughly Enjoyable
Well I’m so glad I watched this, I love the Haunted House and Ghost Train rides at fairgrounds so this was right up my street.

I didn’t think the film was scary as such, but there were certainly some very creepy moments, and I felt the vivid lighting also gave the film a distinctive edge.

Well acted, well put together and thoroughly refreshing for the horror genre, this makes an excellent night’s viewing if you just want a fright without too much baggage.

The most enjoyable horror I’ve seen since the Final Destination movies. Scored 9 out of 10 as I felt the ending was disappointing, I feel a twist of some kind would have made it a perfect 10.

The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
1951 | Classics, Sci-Fi
Michael Rennie is magnificently detached but humane in this parable about an alien visitor arriving in early-50s Washington DC. He brings an important message from the galactic community, but is met with only paranoia and petty squabbling amongst the people of Earth.

Unusual amongst the early-50s flying saucer movies in not featuring malevolent aliens, although given this is famously an allegory for the life of Christ, Klaatu is a surprisingly ambiguous figure, and the film's subtext is not nearly as liberal as you might expect: the message is an authoritarian one, 'do as you are told, or else'. Still a classic of the genre, with striking, much-copied special effects sequences and music, a literate and thoughtful script, and terrific performances and direction.

Movie fans: Do you care about Movie Posters?

I only see them when I walk in or out of my theater.... I barely notice them
They are really just pretty faces, telling me which actors are popular right now.

I ignore them, I only watch previews
I look forward to seeing them, just to see what is coming soon...
I make my own movie posters. And i make them better than the studios do.

I really like them, I even seek them out online.
I really see them as an Art Form, I love sites like AlternateMoviePosters.com and the Alternate Movie Poster orb here on Smashbomb... Films are visual stories, posters should be an extension of it.
Wait there are posters for movies?

Baba Yaga
The baba yaga returns in the stylish ultra violent John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum. The time span of the three movies is around 2 weeks, and opens within minutes of the events of Chapter 2.

While the two previous chapters have solely been in New York, Chapter 3 adds Casablanca, and introduces more back story to John Wick.

If you are going for John Wick, it;s not about the depth of the story, one of franchises biggest positives is the stylish and skillful action sequences, John Wick 3 delivers in droves.

The film sets up for a Chapter 4, leaving us wondering what the baba yaga is bringing to us next.
