This new series from Naomi Hirahara is off to a great start. The characters are fully formed already, and that gives a depth to the plot that I really enjoyed. The plot was interesting with some nice misdirection and twists along the way. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series.

All three of these books are delightful. The characters are strong and the plots move forward quickly with great twists and turns. No matter what your age, you'll turn these pages as quickly as possible and then move on to the other books in these series.

Lauren is upset when one of her students is murdered. But that’s just the start of strange happenings in her community. What has happened to her formerly safe town?
The book started a little slowly, but once it got rolling, it was a great read. The characters were good, and the story was very intriguing with many different plot threads. Yet everything came together for a great climax.
