The death of a retired school teacher shocks the community of Three Pines. But was it an accident or murder? It took me quite a while to sort out the characters. Once I did, I really got hooked on them and the story.

As yet another serial killer attacks San Francisco, the ladies of the Women's Murder Club are rocked by tragedy. I really am getting hooked on these thrillers, but the cardboard characters are hard to really bond with, a problem driven home by this book.

When Aimee Leduc takes a decoded picture to a client in the Jewish quarter of Paris, she finds the woman dead and things quickly unravel from there. Honestly, I found the book too busy, which left not enough time to wrap everything up in the end.

A mostly fun collection of food related murder by a wide variety of authors. A few of the mysteries were rushed at the end, but for a most part they worked. However, there was one story that was disturbing and I didn't care for at all.

Meg has gotten talked into running the Caerphilly Rose Show, which involves dealing with the eccentric owner of the farm they are using and all her black and white animals, including swans and fainting goats. Oh yeah, and there's a murder, too. Wonderful fun as always.

When the chief programmer at her new company is murdered, AIP Turing Hopper once again enlists her human friends to track a killer. Have an artificial intelligence personality as the main character once again proves a brilliant move as this is another page turner.

The annual peach festival is coming and Phyllis is hoping she can finally beat her friend and roommate in the backing festival. However, she gets distracted when some murders start happening. I didn't like the characters, the plot was bad, and the writing was distracting.

This book takes the characters to New York City where they find fairy tale characters living in hiding. While they try to heal a friend, they get involved in a murder. This series may be for kids, but I just love the creativity each book shows.

Nikki Sands takes a new job at a Napa Valley winery and finds a dead body on her first day. The plot was entertaining until the weak ending, but none of the characters came alive for me. And the writing style was weak as well.
