Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated Goody Goody Gunshots (A Candy Shop Mystery, #4) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
When Abby witnesses a murder, naturally she leaves to call the police. Only when they return, they can't find a body. Then Abby sees the victim around town. What's going on? This is the fourth in the series, and I thought it was the best one to date. The characters are strong and the plot kept me guessing until the end.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated The Dead Cat Bounce (Home Repair is Homicide, #1) in Books

Jacobia "Jake" Tiptree has moved to Maine and bought a fixer upper in an attempt to get away from the rat race. But it doesn't quite work out when she finds a dead man in her house and her best friend confesses to the murder. The book starts out very slowly, but as I went along, it did begin to get better.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated True Light (Restoration, #3) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
This is the third book in a series set in a modern world were modern technology has failed. It's winter, which has made daily survival very hard. Yet things get worse when Mark Green is accused of murder. Can the Branning family clear him? Once again, I was pulled into this world. And the mystery was actually well developed here as well.

I loved this show, watched it since day one, always trying to guess who A was, always getting it wrong ha! Loved the characters and their story lines the last few seasons got really good and more ‘darker’ and then we found out who A really was and I’m not sure I enjoyed the ending I feel like more could have been done, that or I’m just in denial that’s the end haha

Shockingly good
I watched Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri after watching it receive a couple of awards. I was not disappointed.
This movie covers some hard topics - the pain a family goes through after the rape and murder of the daughter, the fact that the crime is unsolved, small-town interpersonal relationships, cancer, suicide, but still has the perfect script to make it a dark comedy. The actors all did fantastic jobs. I highly recommend this movie.

Fantastic
If this was a book first I can see why it would be a best selling novel! It takes murder mystery and flops it on its head. It was one of the best films I've seen in a while. Daniel Craig did a fantastic job! And it was great to see captain America as a not so loveable character he did fantastic in the role. It emotionally ties you up in the characters too.

Really enjoyed this. World-wise it's a bit like a cross between the Matrix and Blade Runner. A person's consciousness can be transferred from body to body (called a sleeve).
The main character has been brought out of suspension into a new body and tasked to solve a murder, but of course nothing is ever add simple as it seems.
Engaging and leaves you wanting more, I look forward to seeing future series and in the meantime I shall be reading the books.
