Murder Complicates Shakespeare
Levi has landed the role of Puck in the local theater’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Sho is happy with his role as stage manager until an accident forces him to take on the role of Lysander. Things are anything but smooth sailing with all the personalities in the cast and crew. But then some dies after falling from the upper platform of the theater. Was it an accident or murder?

I love this series, so I was so happy to get the latest entry. The plot is lots of fun with plenty of secrets on the way to the climax, which is the best version of this kind of climax I’ve read. The comedy was a little toned down, but that was a good thing, and there was plenty of laughs. I love how the main characters were developed here again, and the suspects helped pull us into the story. The last chapter sets up the next book, as always, but it’s a bit surprising given some of what happens here. There are some references to past stories, so I recommend you read them in order. You’ll appreciate the character growth more as well. But when you want to laugh while solving a mystery, this is a series you’ll love.

This Killer Isn’t Fooling Around
Annie Darling is looking forward to hosting a book signing for the island’s resident mystery writer, Emma Clyde, on April first. She’s even come up with the perfect promotion for it, leaving fliers all over the island with the clues to identify famous mystery books for a prize at the signing. However, someone has mimicked her fliers, but instead of talking about fictional murder these new fliers are accusing residents of the island of real crimes. Just as Annie thinks her job restoring her name is over, someone dies. Is this murder connected to the fliers?

I love it when authors get creative with their plots, and we’ve got a winner here. I especially appreciated how everything came together. The characters remain a little thin, but they are strong enough to pull us into the story. There are a couple who show up from the previous book, so be aware of minor spoilers. The laughs are plentiful again, especially thanks to Annie’s mother-in-law. Do keep in mind that this book was originally released in 2002 as a couple of elements are dated, but nothing major. Overall, you’d be a fool to pass on this book.

Broadchurch - Season 1
Broadchurch - Season 1
2013 | Drama
British TV at its best. With a small number of episodes (only 8) and yet an intricate plot to unfold, the action flows along at quite a pace.
David Tennant plays the grumpy detective well, ably backed up by Olivia Colman.
Episode by episode each of the main characters are touted as a main suspect for the murder of young Danny Latimer and all eventually discounted (though you never really stop believing they could have done it!).
The conclusion was something of a shock and made you question everything you had seen in the previous episodes.

Thanks to NetGalley for my copy of this book. A great combination of intrigue, mystery and even a touch of the supernatural, this whodunnit is filled with a fair few climactic twists. DI Charlie Moon returns having to work against the grain after his suspension from duty, even hiring the help of a local journalist to solve this gruesome murder. While the conclusion may have ended abruptly, it culminates in the ultimate karmic retribution. Jenny Francis manages to capture both the idyllic countryside and the brutality of injustice in one swoop of her pen. An enjoyable read.

Tv show to Movie
Made from the 1982 TV show Police Squad we see this Movie follow the zany and wacky Lt Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielson) trying to solve the attempt of murder of his longtime partner Norberg (O.J Simpson) This movie is funny and hysterical from the first minute into the film. We see him bungle his way around the film to catch the real mastermind behind the crimes being done in his city. If you ever watched the show you will love this film. This movie spawned two sequels that weren't really needed.

This book was a great read. It was fast paced & not easy to predict. Unlike a lot of murder mystery thrillers the ending even made me cry. The main character Jane is prefectly flawed like all of us, but at times it was taken a little bit too far to be believeble. At the same time my heart went out to her & I wanted to see her overcome her demons so to speak. The horror that Emily experienced was heart breaking. She was another character I found myself rooting for through the book. Very well written!

The storylines are fantastic
Class series, a very good reason why it was adopted for American audiences
I devoured all three seasons of Broadchurch. It is beyond addictive and utterly gripping. The first two seasons hinge around the murder of a young boy, and how everyone becomes suspects around this tiny idyllic English town. While the third season is completely different, it does show some links to the previous seasons. The actors are incredible especially the grumpy senior detective David Tennant and the bubbly Olivia Coleman - the two are a match made in heaven.

This was very...interesting. I know it was a work of fiction and not everything was true, including the murder as there still is no proof that O.J. did it, especially since he said he didn't, and I know the Goldman family fabricated some of that part. But it was interesting to read it from his perspective and to understand where he was coming from. It was certainly not a boring read, that's for sure. I feel sad for the Goldman family because they thought this would help bring him to justice, and it didn't have that desired outcome.

I like a whodunit murder mystery and this had been on my list to see for a long time. It's not a film that gets shown on TV often but is on Sky cinema at present.
It has a rather silly plot of a serial killer around Oxford University who leaves clues a Maths professor and student try to solve. The scenes in and around Oxford University give it a nice setting. The lead characters are good actors but unfortunately they are let down by the final revelation about the murders. One for Whodunit fans only.
