Dr. Bree Mayfield-Watson is most comfortable solving chemistry problems and logically looking at things. She never signed up to find her boss murdered in a secured building and is considered the number one suspect. Who wanted him dead and why are they framing Bree?

Unlike most cozy mysteries, Bree is not your average amateur detective doing illogical and impulsive things to solve the mystery. Refreshingly, she uses her brain, keen sense of observation, and trusty notebook to analyze the facts and formulate who is the real murderer.

My favorite part was being caught up in who the potential murder was and then finding out I was so wrong!

As a fan of other books she has written, I had the opportunity to read a Tart of Darkness which is part of a new series.

The main character of Dani is starting a new life after unexpectedly inheriting a house from her deceased grandmother’s best friend. She decides to start a chef-to-go business preparing ready-made meals for local college students and also providing personal chef and catering services. To help fund the new business, she opens the house up to a few college boarders whom she becomes a big sister figure to. A friend of one of the boarders is found murder and somehow Dani becomes suspect

I really like the concept for this show and all of the theories and discussions that have been generated online about it but it's just really hit or miss depending on the season. I really did not like Freak Show and I have yet to finish Hotel because it just did not grip me that much. I know that many people didn't like Roanoke but I actually thought that it was one of the better seasons. Based on the trailer alone the current season actually looks very promising. With all of this said, I still believe, as does much of its fanbase, that Murder House is the best. Also, Evan Peters ?

This is only the second of Nora Roberts' books that I have read but I am fast becoming a fan of her way of writing, which I didn't think I would to be honest! This is the story of a senseless murder, a young daughter who witnesses part of it and how it impacts both her, her family and others that were involved. The story spans over 20 years and is exceedingly well written. The pace of this book is just right, it doesn't leave you with "slow" bits where you could get bored but also isn't so fast that you miss parts of it.

Highly recommended

A gripping read, but domestic violence, child abuse, incest, adultery, suicide, abduction, murder.... it did put you through the wringer a bit!

I felt it wasn't wrapped up as well as it could have been - some things left me feeling unsatisfied. A few inconsistencies - for example a character badly sprains or possibly breaks an ankle. This is a hindrance while it needs to be, but a few hours later it seems to be OK again.

If Olivia knew what she knew about her husband all along, I can't see why she didn't use it to her advantage earlier?

Gripping while it lasted, but I don't think I could read it again.

I was very leery of this film, after The Last Jedi, I don't trust anything Rian Johnson touches. But, I can't resist a locked-house-esque mystery.
The whole 'murder' is fairly straightforward, and it's 'explained' early on. Though, it's baffling to me, because in the end, the final act was indeed what it was first perceived as.
The cast was pretty good, but the political discussions could have been cut out. It would have been a stronger movie without all of that.
Was it easy to figure out? Relatively, if you follow your gut, you're right about who was the 'culprit'.
Entertaining, but I never need to see it again.
