Powerful, gripping and insightful.

Murder Worth the Weight is brilliant. There are many twists and turns to keep you guessing who the murderer is, which I love.
It also calls to me, I'm a large woman and this strikes a cord. The thoughts, feelings, situations etc are like they've been plucked from my mind and that's what really sets the scene. You feel included.

Camarin is relatable, she's like so many people who have been pressured into trying to attain perfection, having ridiculous standards pushed at them and being held accountable for someone else. It's quite heartbreaking.

Acceptance and self-love are big themes, along side the murders, of course. Well worth a few cuppas and some chocolate biscuits sat in your comfy seat.

Deliciously creepy and full of tension.

I haven't read anything by Caroline Mitchell before but I was initially drawn by the cover and then intrigued by the blurb which sounded like something I would enjoy and, overall, I wasn't disappointed.

There are some great characters and a fabulous plot which combines urban legend, creepy house, serial killer, murder mystery, police procedural and the paranormal. The pace is pretty good and the twists and turns provided suspense from the start.

This is a good spooky read and certainly made a nice change to the usual crime thrillers and I have to give a thank you to Embla Books and NetGalley for my copy in return for an honest, unbiased and unedited review.

Sam is on a break visiting her family trying to figure out things from her past when she finds her self in the middle of an investigation involving somebody who has been penned as the dry ice killer.

This is a gripping story from the start definitely has you thinking who the perpetrator could be. A completely different way to murder people from the usual shootings stabbings etc. It's amazing how well the teams pull together and how close they all become. It does get you on the edge of your seat but it's a cope-able one. I am definitely interested in reading all the other stories in this series as Sam certainly has a knack for solving crimes.
