What I expected to be a riveting, exciting, thriller novel turned out to be a very slow, predictable, murder mystery of a scorned woman and wife. It was an alright read but it was hard to get through it and force myself to get to the end because it hardly kept my interest. Would I recommend it to a friend? Very doubtful. Would I read again? Negative. I do plan on giving the author another go around and I do plan on reading another book of the authors.

Addicted

I’m slowly starting to get addicted to these books, I enjoyed Roy’s trip to Munich, I feel like after this trip he’s finally made up his mind about sandy and Cleo atlast!
Cannot wait to read the one that reveals what’s happened to sandy, the anticipation is killing me ha!

Love this murder mystery how can someone be in the same place twice... Roy and his copper nose will work it out

The characters are building up more and more as the books go one, it’s nice to understand Cleo and Glenn more.

I'm a huge Ballard fan, but this novel was hard to get through. The first part indicates that it's going to be a murder-mystery, with Charles Prentice, our main character, trying to prove that his brother didn't burn 5 people to death in a house.
Around 100 pages in, it peters out into another version of @High-Rise , only not as good. Though, while this was the case, the last 3 pages were strong, and when I reached the end, I almost wanted it to go on.

I received a copy of Murder From Scratch from Netgalley and the publisher.

I really enjoyed this book. My main issue is that all the food talk made me so hungry and as "issues" go that's not bad at all!

I really appreciate the writing of Evelyn. She's actually written as an adult with interests and not as a tall child who brings light to able-bodied folx.

I liked the mystery a lot. The way it was set up as an "obvious" suicide but a family member knows what's up? Definitely my thing!

A fun time, once it gets going

A comedy/mystery in the vein of Clue or Murder By Death, this film takes a while to get going. The jokes at the beginning are few & weak, but as it goes on, they get more plentiful & funnier. I found myself laughing out loud more than a few times. Everyone in the film is great & those who hate Adam Sandler will find him tolerable. The story is well enough & there's a pretty damn good car chase too. It's worth a watch once, maybe twice.
