I love a musical, and a I love a non-predictable plot twist. Thank you Emma for being such an amazing actress playing an aspiring amazing actress and thank you Mr. Gosling for just being a beautiful specimen. Neither of them have stellar voices, but what the lacked in lungs, they made up for in timing, comedy, and chemistry.

Starboy won’t immortalize his legacy just yet but it will strengthen a once desolate Toronto kid’s placement in a musical sect he probably couldn’t even have ever dreamed of being in.

Everything Now by Arcade Fire
2017 | Alternative, Indie
So view Everything Now as a glass half empty due to its inconsistency or as a glass half full of standout singles. You won’t be able to ignore it though, which, in today’s crowded musical landscape, is triumph in itself

Music That is Catchy and Great
A friend introduced me to Fitz & The Tantrums and I loved them. Every song is catchy and great. There are also some beautiful melodies and musical arrangements in them. No two songs are alike and each one makes you feel like singing along and tapping your feet or getting up and dancing.

Such a great film!
When I first saw this I didn't know it was a musical. The music pulled me in from the moment it started. The music just builds and builds through out the whole movie. The sound track to this movie is just as amazing too. I highly recommend.

Didn't feel fair to rate either way as I didn't make it past 10 minutes. Just isn't for me, i felt like essentially straight into a musical number was a bit off putting I had no idea what was going on, however I know plenty of people that really enjoyed this, it just wasn't for me.

"Read while directing Anne in Canada. A book that begins with two spirited sisters and a forward-thinking mother in a Mennonite community was always going to be irresistible to me. That it also encompasses musical prodigy, the prospect of assisted suicide, and the forthright, self-deprecation of its flawed and funny lead character made it even more so."

"Med Hondo is a hero of mine; he encapsulates everything that I would like to see more of in cinema; intellect and effect. This musical deals with years of oppression due to French imperialism in the colonial West Indies. It is set entirely on a slave ship and the climax is at the end, an exhilarated spinning shot."

"This book entertained me during a pregnancy. It’s set in the a small English village in the 1930s and is a battle of wit and wills between two women. It’s all fetes and musical soirées and fighting tooth and nail to be top dog. LOL, as they say. My baby got jiggled for days on end with my laughter."
