I love Riley's writing style - I always get creeped out and spooked when reading these books. Granted, this is only the third book, but so what.
My most immediate consensus was that 'Lock Every Door' would reveal itself as a paranormal genre. I wasn't sure how I felt about that, considering Riley's previous books were mystery/suspense, but I grew to like the idea.
Honestly, this book could have ended in any number of ways and I probably would have been satisfied. Genuine disappointment ensued when Jules first believed a cult lives in the Bartholomew; not because the culprit wasn't of paranormal nature, but because it was so outlandish. However, as hard to believe as it may be, I was more intrigued by what was truly going on and the fact it had been happening for so many generations. The entire mystery was still a bit absurd, but it appealed to me more than the cult theory.
While I may not have enjoyed this book as much as the first two, I still consider myself a Sager fan. I'm excited to see what's in store for any future books!

The book is very descriptive of ever character. You can practically see them in your mind. There is a lot of mystery with answers, and a lot of suspense. (0 more)

Good book
I have not yet seen the movie, as I do not want to take away from my reading experience. This book has a lot of imagination, I would say it captivated me the way Tolkien's books captivated me. The descriptions of the characters are specific, and the atmosphere, and the villains. I wish the book was longer and it could certainly go much deeper. I think the author was not allowed to write as long of a story as would have liked, maybe for production value.

Awesome read. Well written, with a great plot and characters. I was engrossed from start to finish. Although there were some slow spots. This book has elements of suspense, mystery, humour, and action. Nora's story is quite tragic but hopeful. She loses her boyfriend that she loves very much, but winds up with the ability to see and talk to the dead. Unfortunately the dead never rests, and at first she thinks she is going crazy. With a bit of help she realizes there is nothing wrong with her brain......she is seeing and hearing dead people. How will she handle her gifts, and the fact that ghosts exist? Overall a great read and I can't wait to read the next book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Netgalley.

I am definitely in love with this book. Case closed. There's time travel, vampires, merpeople, shifters, and a mystery to solve before something huge goes down. And did I mention the love triangle? I have yet to decide who I want to win Sage's heart, because I like them both!! This story has action, suspense, drama, romance, humor, and it's just such an amazing book, I couldn't put it down! (Seriously, I read it in one afternoon, I couldn't tear myself away!!) I'm looking forward to the day when a sequel is released, because I just can't deal with that ending, I need closure!

*Sorry for all the exclamation points, but I just loved it so much! =)*

What a pleasure listening to Anna Massey narrate the audiobook of Rebecca. At first, I thought this was going to be another case of me finding classic raved about novels too much of a slow boil but I was so engaged in the prose and mind of the protagonist I ended up loving it.

Being in the head of the protagonist; who we don't even know the name of; is such a realistic if at times frustrating experience. As a self-doubting socially shy woman she's perfectly written and I'm sure many can sympathise. Thrust into a world of being waited on rather than doing the waiting when she marries Maxim de Winter, the shadow of his late wife looms large in her new home - Manderley

A beautifully written tale of suspense and mystery that will transport you to a different time.
