This movie was a complete mess. The plot was all over the place, and they kind of wasted Oscar Isaac. I always love James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender together, but there was close to nil of that action. Michael Fassbender seemed like he hated life all throughout it.
Also, I'm really tired of Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique. Can we please get some clothing for Mystique? I find it really strange that she has clothing in comics but close to none in the movies.

"A film that could have been as good as The Third Man—if Welles had had a bit more money and a more charismatic leading man. But the unpolished nature of the endeavor gives it a certain mystique."

Plant displays everything he’s learned along the way; Carry Fire's sophistication and mystique place it among the most ambitious and evocative albums of his legendary career.

I liked this one, but it's bugging me that I don't know enough of the back stories to work out what they've messed up or tweaked. I did come across the fact that Mystique is Nightcrawler's mother... which made sense, but confused me to no end.

A pretty decent sultry thriller directed by Brian DePalma. A jewel thief tries to cover her past but a chance photo of her alerts the people she has crossed before. Enjoyable if not quite a classic but I do like the ending and Rebecca Romijn suits the role to a T before her success as Mystique in the X-Men series.

This is definitely my favorite X-Men movie, though, I am total trash for anything with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. They both did well as Professor X and Magneto. Personally, vengeful Magneto is my favorite Magneto. I liked the vibe, and the story line. Hugh Jackman's cameo was hilarious. Kevin Bacon was excellent as the villain. The only thing I can live without is another film where they don't give Mystique clothing.

Great Sfx
Interesting idea
It's nice to see a story of how Magneto, Xavier and Mystique etc came to know each other. Also to see how the X-Men came to be. I like the way it's tied into real events in History. The action scenes are great and the Sfx are top notch. A very enjoyable film.

"I think this counts as an illustrated sleeve. I mean Kraftwerk are up there with Bowie as being one of the coolest. I think when you look at Kraftwerk they are the perfect example of a band that always retain their mystique and really live by the whole world they've projected. Every record of theirs really draws you into it. On top of that, they're one of the world's best live bands. I've seen them maybe three times and their sound quality was unbelievable, they just sounded so good. I got really into running at one point and I'd always listen to Tour de France. I guess it was kind of made for that."

A dark epic fairytale
This captivating fantasy is set in the frozen north of Russia in the 13th century, and used Russian myths and fairy tales as inspiration.

At the centre of the novel is the family of a local Lord, in particular the headstrong youngest daughter Vasya who is gifted with 'second sight'. The existence of the community is threatened when a dark power in the forests begins to wake up, just as the villagers start to turn away from the household spirits who've protected them, in favour of a charismatic new priest.

The Russian setting adds interest and mystique and the protagonist Vasya is fantastically outspoken and scrappy. The plot is easy to follow despite the odd Russian word. It truly is a compelling read.

"Not so much for the guitar work, but what’s represented on this collection is a real tight, small band. Wolf’s nickname was appropriate because he actually sounded like a wild animal when he sang. What an outrageous, maniacal voice! He could’ve been a star of those old Wolfman movies and they wouldn’t have needed any special effects. “He played great harmonica, and he could certainly get with it on the guitar. He had a mystique that came through on record. He could be overwhelming and scary. Not many artists can do that. So I’d call him one of the true originals of the blues. I love this collection. Just to have one big box set that encompasses something like ten different recordings, that’s pretty special."
