I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.

As I fell in love with all the Chinese mythology that Rachael Slate put down in book 1, Trancing The Tiger, it came as no surprise to me that I loved that aspect of this book just as much. This time, it's a bit more 'specialised' so instead of reading about the whole of the Chinese horoscope and mythology, you learn about one specific place - Li's place.

Li himself is a tortured hero which always goes down a treat with me. He is matched by Wen with the feisty attitude who stands toe to toe with him and won't take any rubbish. There are also cameo shots from Lucy and Sheng, as well as the Matchmaker.

The story is fast-paced and well thought out, the dialogue is sharp and sassy and it is hot! Altogether, another fantastic book from Rachael Slate. Definitely recommended.

Out of this entire series thus far this is my favorite book. The author has entwined vampiric and Valkyrie mythology to bring us the explosive tale of two amazing warriors who are destined for one another. This read is a powerhouse of action and romance and I had an extremely difficult time putting this one down. I love the direction the author took with this story and I give it five stars!!!

Fantastic read
This book is fantastic, it grips you and urges you to read more. I love the characters and the idea behind the plot- I have always been a fan of mythology and Greek myths and this book- in fact the series as a whole- is a great read. I have read it many times and it has become a go to for when I want to escape.

Fun and witty read that will expand your vocabulary and knowledge of Irish folklore/mythology. A great summer book, easy enough to read in an afternoon or put down and pickup and finish later.
Although, it references the TV show and previous books, it is a stand alone book. You don't necessarily have to watch or read to them understand or enjoy the book, it is recommended because of the enjoyable shinannegans and hijinks.
