I have read “Hidden” by Emma previously and found it to be a riveting read so when “The Missing Hours” appeared on NetGalley, I jumped at the chance to read it and am grateful to the publisher, Random House UK, Cornerstone, for providing me with a copy in return for an honest review.

What a fantastic book! I was completely absorbed from the start.

This was a very descriptive, intriguing read. It kept my interest and I enjoyed it. I find it interesting that at one point Penny Dreadfuls are blamed for young male crimes (suicides, murders, etc) similar to how Video Games are sometimes still blamed today. Before that was Metal music, Horror movies, Rock n' Roll, etc.

I haven’t read anything by this particular author before but because I had read and reviewed Before It’s Too Late by Jane Isaac for the Publisher - Legend Press via NetGalley, I was invited to read this one by the same Publisher. Well, not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, I accepted but unfortunately I was left a little disappointed.
