Odd by name, but not Odd by nature
Well acted and Yelchin always a good watch. More than decent supporting cast and a good adaptation of the source novel by Dean Koontz.
Well worth a watch and currently on Amazon Prime

Edmund, Lucy, and their cousin Eustace join King Caspian's quest to find seven banished lords who were loyal to his father. This book is very episodic in nature, but since I love all things nautical, I can't help loving this book.

I mean, given the nature of this book it's pretty obvious what happens and how it's going to turn out - I got super invested in a few of the characters given their separate parts in the book and I loved the time stamps too it was amazing - cant say too much about it you'll have to read it for yourself and see !!
I studied history in undergrad, so every once in a while, I need to go on a history book reading binge.
This most recent Philbrick book examines the complicated nature of the relationship between the French military leadership, and the struggling Continental army, lead by Washington. There were definitely aspects that I hadn't considered before, and it made for an engaging read.

Emily Morgan (51 KP) rated The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann in TV

This absolutely did not require 8 episodes, which all in all made the documentary feel very bloated, and repetitive in nature. Not all successful documentaries need to be of binge watch proportions. It was interesting to gain insight into those who were working on the case or in the media at the time, but all in all, there is no new information here.
Barry Newman (204 KP) rated World War Z (2013) in Movies

Probably not the film I should be watching during a pandemic . Some of it reminded me of scenes from my local supermarket at the moment. It's not a bad film overall, the action is plentiful and Brad Pitt makes for an engaging lead. Unfortunately the ending is a bit anticlimactic and low key considering the globe trotting nature of most the film.
