Killer Wedding (Madeline Bean, #3)

Madeline attends a wedding at the LA Nature Museum. The company putting it on wants Madeline to buy it out, but then the owner is killed during the reception. Another fun book filled with great characters and a strong story. The ending scene is a bit of a cliche, but it is still fun.

This book was magnificent. It's kind of like an adult Hunger Games mixed in with The Walking Dead, World War Z and The Road. No zombies, no vampires, no dystopian future but a very poignant look at human nature and dire circumstances. Although I am a bit tired of the time jumps that plague all current literature, these feel necessary and are almost a relief in cutting the tension at times. Great novel!

This movie is amazing. It's shot beautifully, the characters are touching and real. It has hidden meaning in it. I think it should be a requirement for humanity. (0 more)

The Apostles, the Herald, all of the men and women, angels and man in it's entirety show up in this movie. It's beautiful. It needs to be seen.

This movie is fairly gruesome as would be expected but I found quite a few scenes hard to stomach (and I'm no stranger to gore). The opening scene is a preview to the depravity and traumatic contents of the movie. The storyline itself was not awful but the graphic nature and a general lack of answers made it seem more like a gore for the sake of gore movie. Probably wouldnt watch again.

"My father in law, Victor Levenstein, just finished writing his own memoirs about his early life and surviving torture and forced labor in the Gulags. He met Solzhenitsyn while in exile and was in the same camp that is described in “A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich”. I found this book to be deeply profound in observing humans at their absolute worst while never missing the big story of human nature."

"Films about the nature of performance, our collective need to watch and be artists, and the heavy cost of leading a public life. Altman’s opus is freewheeling in tone yet dense as a glittering jewel, leading to a conclusion as bleak as any American film I can think of. Bob Fosse’s penultimate film takes the fundamentals of editing and reinvents them afresh, while concluding that there are certainly worse things than death."

Usual pitfalls camera, not long enough (0 more)
Probably the best of the few N64 Star Wars games, I remember playing this game fondly as it weaves original characters into the mix of ones you already know. This game was definitely a step up from the SNES games, although, those were still fun as well.

The 3D nature of the 64 broke new ground for most titles including this one. I still remember it fondly.

"Once there was a tree...and she loved a little boy."

The most heartwarming, loving story ever written. I grew up having this book read to me, then I read it over and over to myself, and now I read it to all the littles in my life. Life just makes more sense with this book in it. It's a love story to nature, a lesson on kindness and selfishness, and just an overall amazing story. Love.

Excellent all round
I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading reports that over 100 people walked out of the cinema at the movie’s premiere screening... The film is not for the squeamish but I felt the gruesome nature of the film was perfectly balanced by a gripping storyline, and excellent performances, especially from Matt Dillon. I was totally engaged all through the movie, and felt it was a perfect example of how a movie should be made.
