"I love Westerns and always wanted to make this into a movie. I still do! It's the one that got away. A tight, taut, tense standoff, and almost impossible to put down once you start reading, dealing with differing beliefs in nature, faith, spirituality."

"A meditation on the nature of reality by Akira Kurosawa, one of greatest of all Japanese films, with magnificent performances by Toshiro Mifune. Is there such a thing as “objective reality”? Or, as Kurosawa suggests, is it all in the eye of the beholder?"

Did someone say level 25 monster?
I love playing this game with some buddies. The only issue is after you win once or twice. Everyone will gang up on you but that's the nature of the beast!

"Camille Paglia is one of the most controversial feminists of all time, and also one of the most compelling. This mammoth book, put very shortly, examines the representation of sexuality in Western art. But it also goes into fierce discussion about religion, literature, art history, psychology, the brutal forces of sex and nature, and the amorality and pornography present in great art. As someone who personally writes a lot about sex work, one of my favorite lines in the book is, “The prostitute is not, as feminists claim, the victim of men, but rather their conqueror, an outlaw, who controls the sexual channels between nature and culture.”"

Martin does a good enough job with his world-building, but the sprawling nature of this story makes it a tough book to put down without having to really re-familiarize yourself with what's going on. Also, pretty much any character you grow attached to will end up dying.

Nature fights back!
A truly odd, bizarre and rather creepy film. I saw this a long time ago and it really stays with you long after you watch it. It has some genuine make you jump moments. It's miles better than the 2008 remake! Check out this version.

"Few books have made me think more than this one over the last decade. A meandering philosophical treatise that explores how all types of systems—your body, nature, the economy, your company—get stronger or weaker with stress. Some don’t like Taleb’s writing style, but his ideas are compelling."

I’ve only seen episode one, but I am intrigued and impressed. The combination of AI and humanity, and the empathy/human nature incorporated into AI, is woven into a very compelling story. Can’t wait to finish this.

Enjoyable, but "fluffy"
This is an enjoyable series that I've watched start to finish more then once. It's something that's serious enough to keep me interested but fluffy enough that you can't take things too seriously.
