It’s more than thirty years old, but it’s still the default reference for every rock group with a sense of humor (even if none of the band members were alive when it was originally released). It somehow has more cultural sticking power than most of the music it satirizes. There’s never been a real documentary about a real band that captures the nature of heavy rock as deftly as this unreal documentary about a fake band."

Relaxing- like to watch this before going to bed. (0 more)
A little bit niche in that its set during a normal every day kind of plotline- probably not something everyone would enjoy especially if they do prefer action. (0 more)
Reminds me of friends in that its all very chill with a sense of camaraderie only Kim’s convenience is focused on blood relatives. None the less this show is really good to relax to when your fed up of all the action packed dramas. I also found the family dynamic really relatable which was fun.

TV adaptation of what-was-then roughly the 8th book in the series (and is now the 18th), with the novel itself being one of the weaker entries on the series for my money.

However, that's not to say that it is bad - none of the Sharpe books are - but it is also obvious in this one that the budget had been increased (slightly), but was still not to the level to do the work full justice, with the subplot concerning the American Privateer completely left out!
