Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Dark Frost (Mythos Academy, #3) in Books
Sep 5, 2019
3.5 stars.
Still not my favourite series going but it's a quick and easy read with an interesting story arc running through the series with added little plotlines in each story such as who's going to be a reaper, Gwen searching for missing/stolen items and such.
The progression of Gwen and Logan's relationship (finally!) in this one had me smiling and wanting to cheer along with their friends at the end. It's about time guys!
I will be continuing the series at some point in the future but not yet.

Story
Ok, but not the most thrilling.
As a huge fan of John le Carré, and have enjoyed many other film/TV adaptations of his work, I couldn't wait for this one!
Unfortunately, on screen it felt particularly dull. Series like The Night Manager, and even the early TV adaptations featuring Sir Alec Guinness, this series failed to capture the mix of excitement and suspense the book provides.

Okay
I read the first book in this series about three years ago and didn't do a re-read before starting this, which wasn't the best idea ever.
That being said, I remembered enough to get into the story--though it took me a little while--but I think my taste n books has changed a little since then and I'm not sure if I'm interested in finishing the series.

Pleasantly surprised by this horror series. I thought the trailer was a little tacky (the preview you get on netflix) but I was hooked from the first episode.
The most epic thing about this series is the hunt for the hidden ghosts. we spotted so many, purely because we are paranoid at horror series haha. But even so, it added to the intensity and anxieties of the episodes and was masterfully done. It is nice for anything horror to not rely on stupid jump scares.

Erika Kehlet (21 KP) rated Blue Labyrinth (Pendergast, #14) in Books
Feb 21, 2018
NOTE: If you haven't read anything in this series yet, Blue Labyrinth might not be the best place to start. There are returning characters from previous novels, and reading some of the earlier books (especially Relic, #1 in the series) will make this one even more enjoyable.
I love revisiting old friends and old places in this series, and the New York Museum of Natural History is by far my favorite place in PendergastÂ’s New York. Blue Labyrinth opens with a dead body in the museum, and Margo Green called in to assist with the police investigation. Full of danger and Pendergast family drama, this installment moves along at an incredible pace, and is a great addition to the series.

Not one of the stronger entries in this series as some of the jokes are, well, stupid.

Good story
Fun for the whole group
This is a very funny series, it starts in 4e, but has a clever way of switching to 5e after episode 165, I love it
