It had been a while (8 months) since I read books 1 and 2 in the series and had forgotten some of what went on but I remembered more and more as I read this, though not everything.
It's a nice conclusion to the series, though a pity that we had to lose more characters that we'd gotten to know over the three books. Nobody too major!
Perry and Aria and Roar and the rest of the Tides deserve a happy ending after going through what they have in the trilogy and I enjoyed reading their story.

Another excellent entry in Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series: better than the one before it (Small Favour), but not the best entry in the series as a whole.
This time, Dresden must uncover who has framed Warden Morgan - formerly his chief prosecutor on the White Council - and see if he can uncover the traitor within the ranks of that body.
By the end of the novel, the world (as a whole) has become a somewhat shadier place: how do you know what the right thing to do is, when there is no clear-cut right or wrong?

Well I read this book directly after finishing the first in the series because it was really that good. As it usually goes with series though, this installment wasn't as good as the original. But that's not at all to say that it wasn't a good read.
The same characters are included in this book with the addition of thru Grey Man, aka Mr. Grey...a hit man who had been hired to hunt down & retrieve the Greywarren for his boss. The ley line is losing its juice. Gansey is no closer to discovering Glendower. Blue & Adam are still dancing around each other.
The story took a bit longer to really get going in this book. Once it did however, it grabs the reader just like the first book did. It will be interesting to see what path the third books takes us down...

Beauty, Beast, and Belladonna is the 3rd book in the Fairy Tale Fatal series, set in 1867. I love cozies and historical fiction, and this story was a wonderful mix of the two. Variety hall actress Ophelia Flax finds herself at a hunting party in France, pretending to be someone she is not, and trying to figure out how to avoid getting herself married to the Compte de Griffe. When an unexpected guest turns up dead after a string of petty thefts, she must try to find both the thief and the killer to get herself out of more than one entanglement. I absolutely loved the colorful characters, the time period, and the setting in this story. I plan on going back soon to read this series from the start!

ZERO CHANCE is the fifth book in The Seven series, and it's the turn of incorrigible flirt, Keene. We got a glimpse of him and Waverley at the end of Just This Once (Parker and Hope's story), and this carries on from there. I would absolutely recommend you read the prior books in this series, simply because they are all outstanding!
Anyway, Waverley is Library Girl, invisible to most, but unfortunately, not to Xander, who insists on befriending Waverley. I loved Xander for that, as she was just what Waverley needed, even when she didn't think so. Waverley was also not invisible to Keene, even when she wanted to be. Nope, instead, he would irritate and aggravate her at every turn, but what he wouldn't do was flirt with her. Even though he flirted with anything that moved! So when Waverley seizes the day to find out what the fuss is all about, the game is on.
I loved every moment of this book. Waverley has had a sh!tty life up until now. From r@pe at a very young age, to a su!cide attempt, to an overbearing mother and a standoffish father, it all sucks. The thing I loved about this, though, was that everything had a reason. Her parents weren't helicopter parents for no reason, and Waverley understood that, even if it annoyed her.
And Keene, oh, man. This dude about killed me. He has been the loud flirt all the way through the series, and finally seeing what makes him tick was wonderful. He is absolutely the right person for Waverley, the same as she is for him. These two perfectly complement each other, which means they can both deal with the darkness better.
I will give a Kleenex warning, though! As with most books in this series, if not all of them so far, I ended up with leaking eyes. This is a good thing as it means I've connected with the characters. But it's also a bad thing, as it means I have to stop reading to stop the blurring.
So, so good. I loved every word and can't wait for Thane's book. I'll give Xander and Alec some space as I know she still needs some time. But Thane! Come on!!
In case you haven't figured it out yet, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book and the series. Love it!

A simply excellent and unnerving series and one hell of a scary house!
I had heard good things about this show and loved the trailer but I was not disappointed at all - simply amazing. The way they intertwined so many different storylines together so well is stunning. Character development is great and you truly care about every character and some scenes and monologues drew me in so much I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. The real star is the house though. It is shot so beautifully but also there's just something unnerving about it. That is the real genius of this show. It's not gory, it's not jump scares. It is simply scary, psychologically scary and I loved it. Now season 2 has been announced & I'm a very happy camper!!!

This was another good book. I thought that the author makes the characters likeable. With that said, the writing was not amazing. It didn't flow very well. I thought that the author would choose a couple words and stick with them and never change them. If I read another "Oh my" I may scream.
I did find this an entertaining series and I'm glad that I read them. With that said, these are guilty pleasure books, those books that you may not want to openly discuss with some people. I'm not ashamed of what I read but I was glad that I read these books on my nook.
All in all, the story was good but it read like a fantasy of a young adult/teen and not as realistic as I would have hoped. The books were entertaining but they left me wanting "more"...

Your usual good Discworld story
I love the Discworld novels however if I’m being honest, I prefer the non-standalone series such as the City Guard, Death or the Moist Von Lipwig. Small Gods is one of the few standalone stories in the Discworld catalogue and whilst a Discworld novel is always good, this isn’t one of my favourites.
Brutha is a likeable main character but not lovable. Not because he’s a little bit dim but just because there’s not much to him. Om as the tortoise is rather funny, and the rest of the characters in this are good but not particularly memorable. The story itself is obviously a tongue in cheek take on religion and is funny in parts, although sadly considering when it was written maybe isn’t quite as relevant as it could be today. Overall it’s just a well written entertaining Discworld story.

Enjoyable Game and Addition to the Series
I love the Mass Effect series so I was excited to play this latest game in the series. I liked the story a lot because it was interesting and there were some great characters. The romance options were fairly decent and I did like the introduction of a new alien race and one of them became my favorite character in the entire game. The environments are beautiful and the game play is pretty good. I did have fun playing it. I just wish they had worked on the facial animations more because during cut scenes the expressions barely emote and appear wooden and robotic. It was also frustrating just how many bugs were in the game ranging from a character not showing up in a cut scene to the game freezing up. That aside, this is an enjoyable game and a good addition to the series, so it's worth checking out.
