I just loves series. I have already review the first book to this series. I really like learning about Civil War era. I do not know what bring it out or if it the writing. I just enjoy the story behind it. You can learn so much. Why it just a wonderful thing to see the bonds of friendship and what all can bring people together. The stories are all different but it all great to read. To me it just makes me wonder and these stories also take me back in that time era. What life might have been if I was born in that era.

Terminator Genisys (2015)

Entry number 5 in The Terminator series: a series that is largely viewed as having gone drastically downhill after the first two superlative instalments, and that is undoubtedly Arnold Schwarzenegger most famous role.

The biggest problem with this one, simply, is that it gave away too much in the trailers prior to it's release: yes, Arnie returns (as a 'good' Terminator who states that he is 'old, not obsolete'), Sarah Connor is recast, time travel again is a key concept, and other characters are found to have changed sides.

Oh, and an (ex)The Doctor (Who) has a starring role - well, I suppose he should be used to timey-wimey shenanigans!

This, really, and as it says on the tin (so to speak) is a collection of short stories penned by the late, great, Sir Terry Pratchett back when he was first starting out on his journalistic career.

So we're talking back, mainly, in the late 1970s and perhaps early 80s, before the Discworld series for which he is most renowned came to be.

As such, none of these are as polished as his later works, although it is interesting to see early glimmers of ideas that would later be fully fleshed out (mainly, but not exclusively, in the Discworld series) in several of these stories.

How do i rate this book.
This was frustrating and as much as i hate to do it this did not meet the par for me.

The main character just flopped for me throughout most of the book.

With most of my updates all i could write was how...frustrating this character was.
Which upset me cause i loved her character before the kidnapping.

To me Aya seemed strong and independent but then as the story progressed that just went away.
And Kato just seemed like a lost puppy to me the whole time, which to some extent was impressive because you typically read about the "Bad-Boy" turn good. but her was always good, too good for someone who was a warrior for a year.

Another down fall for me was the Insta-Love. Typically its not a big deal for me but seriously, 7 days?? and your running away together. Get real.

The begging execution of this story tugged me in but that middle was hard to get through. The ending though was much better and i was happy i stuck through it in the end. but i will not be continuing the series.

I loved the first book in this series, Vain. The vain thing seemed to be the point for a lot of the book, or I think it did--its been a while since I read it. This one, the greed thing, not so much. Or at least not in Spencer's case. At the start sure, he wanted whatever money he could get, whether he liked the means in which he earned it or not. But by the quarter point that wasn't the case anymore. He'd changed.

I don't know if I find either book particularly true to life, at least here in England, but they managed to capture my attention. Vain more so than this one, anyway. It just didn't quite go as I expected. I was expecting greed to be the main focus of the book and it wasn't. Spencer went from being a bit of an arse to this really nice, always thinking of others (mainly Cricket) guy, which was a total 180 to how he was before and I was surprised.

I've also just seen the advert for Fury and Ethan from this is him/it. Should be interesting.

Smoke and Mirrors ( Harem of Freaks 3)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hardest part of being ringmistress? Juggling my feelings for three men.

Connor, my stubborn protector always battling his demons. Hunter, the dashing wolf shifter who sends my heart into overdrive. And Razvan, the dragon I wish I could stop thinking about.

What was supposed to be a fun, lighthearted date turns into a shocking discovery about myself. I wasn't ready for this, and I'm not sure I'm up for the responsibility this discovery brings me.

I'm so consumed by the shifter visions in my head, I don't realize how much Connor is hurting. He's walking down a dark path and this time, I'm not sure if even I can save him.

Step right up and take a front row seat to my heart breaking.

I like this series it’s an easy enjoyable read. This did not disappoint at all I literally finished it within 2 hours. We find out what kind of supernatural Melody is and her link to these 3 men is growing stronger. Also those pups are just too cute.

I loved the first two books in the Valiant Hearts Series. Exciting and engaging. However, the final book in the series fell very short of my expectations. It was fun to revisit characters from the first two books, I love how the storylines cross over. The epilogue provided a satisfying conclusion to the series. But Courageous just could not hold my attention. The first half of the book is very slow and lacking in action. There was some discrepancy regarding dates in the beginning of the book, it may just have been a typo, but it made things very confusing for a bit. I enjoyed Randel and Rosalind's characters and their journey of growth, healing and courage. I highly recommend the first two books in the series: Dauntless and Chivalrous. You may enjoy Courageous more than I did, it just wasn't for me. Keep in mind that it has a very different feel and approach. I recommend reading this series in order. There are characters and circumstances that I don't believe can be fully appreciated unless you read the first books first.
I received a free copy of Courageous from Bethany House Publishers in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

My Rating
★★☆☆☆ - She is tolerable I suppose, but not handsome enough to tempt me.

This book is definitely not my typical book. I'm not a fan on teenage drama filled novels so I was hesitant to read this book as part of my 2014 book reading challenge. This book was recommended to me my one of my amazing cousins so I committed to reading it this year.

Okay, where to start‰Û_ The Lying Game by Sara Shepard is a murder mystery that takes place in high school. This book is filled with drama and murder with a slice of romance. The characters were very "Mean Girls" with an evil streak and I found myself thankful that my high school could not be compared to this high school.

I felt that the characters could have more dimension to them. I felt like they fell flat. Even the main character was only 2 dimensional and very clich̩. I tend to be a character person so I found that I couldn't truly connect with any of the characters in this book.

The storyline was entertaining, I found myself wondering what was going to happen and I was sort of invested in the plot. I wish that the plot line was more flushed out and that the characters were more flushed out. Seriously, I love characters that I can relate to‰Û_

I could definitely tell that this was a young adult novel. I liked that it was a quick and surprisingly light read.

Ultimately, I think I may have been too old for this novel. I think I would have liked it better if I were to have read this in middle school. I liked the concept of this book but it just fell flat.

Ultimately, I would give this novel 3 cups of coffee. I enjoyed the book while it lasted but I will not continue on in the series.

While this is not my usually fantasy book to pick up, I found myself being drawn into the nightmare unable to look away. The characters, while not very likeable, are interesting, and you do care where their story will end. It's been compared to Goremenghast, which I haven't read so can't compare, but it is well written. It's gothic steampunk, grim, dark fantasy, melancholic tragedy with horror sprinkled on top. I loved it and felt sad I'd finished it, but couldn't wait to get the next in the series.
