The 3rd in the Rogue Squadron series was probably the most fun as it added several modes not in the previous two games and also gameplay as improved. Who doesn't love to run around on Hoth, run up beneath an AT-AT, and destroy it with a grenade? Most of the vehicle missions were a lot of fun too and this was a very memorable Star Wars GameCube game.

Another fantastic Discworld book
This was the second book I ever read in the Discworld series, and was a great introduction to Death as a character.

The book itself is a fun take on Father Christmas and is full of humour, if not slightly bonkers at times. It also has one of my favourite quotes:
"Susan has never been able to see the attraction in cats. They were owned by the kind of people who like puddings" - means more to a cat lover!

Discussed the very important finale of Star Versus the Forces of Evil this morning. I did not see that one coming. I spoiled GOT for myself as I am four seasons and 5 books behind. So...I keep saying the conclusion doesn’t matter, it’s the incredibly rich storytelling that makes the series so impressive. And realistically the victor would likely get usurped anyhow. But what do I know? I liked the end of the Sopranos too. Starting to suspect there is something wrong with me, lol.

Okay, don't get me wrong. I can see what people see in this series. I don't know what I thought I'd expect considering I generally don't like fantasy, and I definitely don't like Harry Potter. It's just not my jam. In many ways, Akata Witch is very HP, just in Nigeria. In other ways, it's so steeped in African mythology, it's a true breath of fresh air from the normally very European folklore that fantasy so often draws from. It's definitely a book I'd recommend.

Former forger turned faux finisher Annie Kincaid is painting in an exclusive men's club when a member is found murdered. Then's she's asked to find a stolen statue and a painting that may or may not be forged. This is the fourth in a series, and it's another fun romp. The ending felt rushed, but that was my only complaint with the book.

So I read this on the recommendation of my best friend who read them a while back... It did not disappoint. In fact, a full month after finishing the whole series, and I'm almost prepared to read it all over again. I was sucked into the story almost instantly. And all I can say while remaining irritatingly vague about the whole story is: If ya'll thought Ana and Christian (50 Shades) were a F*****-up couple, they ain't got nothin' on Eva and Gideon!

I hate getting involved in series. I don't like being forced into commitment. This book received 3 stars because it turned out to be better than I expected, but at the end it was still a bit unoriginal and relied too heavily on the ubiquitous love triangle. To be fair, the writing was pleasant, although the characters felt a little two dimensional. But YA is not my preferred genre. If I do decide to pick up the other two books, it won't be anytime soon.

This book was very interesting. I liked the concept and I found myself intrigued with the premise of the book. I did like the characters. Even though they were a little too juvenile for me I found that I could relate to them. The characters were interesting. I liked that it was a quick read. I may continue on in the series but I'm still not sure.

Ultimately, I liked the book but I will admit that I am still unsure about the ending.

This is the first book in the series, so all of the time was spent introducing the characters. (The hero, and the 12 child devils that he is raising.) The little ones are cute, and maybe I'd read the next book if I happened to run across it one day. However, it's not one that I'll lose sleep over, waiting to read. I think the story needs to get into an actual storyline before it can get better. The devil children are cute, though!
