Erika (17789 KP) rated Upload - Season 1 in TV
Jul 11, 2020
I don't binge watch shows in general, unless they're true crime. I find Greg Daniels, the creator, very hit or miss.
This was a hit, and was already renewed for a 2nd season. In the not so distant future, people can live beyond death when their consciousness is uploaded to a cloud. Nathan, played by Robbie Arnell, dies in a strange and suspect car crash, and his slightly crazy fiance, who is basically a horrible, annoying person has him uploaded to the cloud.
Andy Allo, who plays Nathan's 'Guardian Angel', was the stand out for me. The angels are essentially customer service reps.
This series was funny, and a very quick watch. I highly recommend it.

Dean (6927 KP) rated Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness in TV

Very short story (1 more)
It's very similar to the previous animated films
A big disappointment
I was really looking forward to this when I saw Netflix had a Resident Evil anime series coming out. It's such a shame though and a missed opportunity. Only 4 episodes long and around 22 minutes each episode. You have no real idea where this fits in timeline wise with the games, anywhere after the 2nd game basically. The storyline feels very similar to one of the extended anime films of Resident Evil, so not that original either. The animation is OK, close up scenes have a lot of detail. Other times it just looks like cut scenes from the games. Really hoped for better.

Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Shadow Touched (Shadow Roamer, #1) in Books

Lilou has this way of writing slow building romances that blend action and friendships into one really interesting story. This was no exception.
I loved Nero; he kicked arse, was really caring of his team and sounds like a great bed partner ;P
Stella was pretty cool, too. She didn't give in at any point, not when being attacked by demons or tested for her abilities. She was strong willed and one really lucky girl to land Nero.
I liked the concept of the story, it was entirely new to me and I was intrigued how it would play out. I wasn't disappointed and will be looking forward to other books in the series and by the author.

Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Reason to Breathe in Books

I've had this on my Kindle for years--6 or 7--so I thought it was about time I read it and all of the others from my earliest bought to my newest.
I liked this for the fact that the abuse wasn't sexual like a lot of books are nowadays. It was hard to read at times the physical abuse Emma went through and I liked Evan and how persistent he was with getting to know her.
I didn't give it more stars because they could have avoided a lot of the pain and heartache if they'd only told the truth. About everything. And to anyone who'd listen.
I'm not sure I'll be finishing the series.

Oh my days, I was so excited to read this book and it didn't disappoint! I loved the style of writing and I felt like we got to know all the characters, although a little slow in places I loved how it played out. I didn't guess the ending at all so that was a shock, although I feel it could have been a few chapters longer with possibly more explanation and a little bit more of a wrap up of everything, for this reason I think it should be a series! Not because I am sad it ended or anything *Sniff* *sniff* It is just a wonderful book full of mystery and suspense!

Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!
This is the second instalment in the Ash and Blue series and I found it thrilling. There has been a lot of research gone into this book and it has a very easy flow to read. You can feel the emotions that the characters are going through and the conflict that Ryan feels with some of the decisions he has to make.
It definitely captured me from the first page and I couldn't wait to find out what was going on.
I'm not sure if there will be another one but I would certainly like to see one

Seer ( Saving Setora 4)
By Raven Dark and Petra J. Knox
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was meant to be a simple trip to take care of business. But by the time we get home, none of us will ever be the same.
Honestly this series really frustrates the hell out of me. Everything screams to not like it that I should hate reading about women being enslaved to men in a dystopian future but I can’t help but be totally hooked! And this ending I felt like screaming for Setora!!! I’ve had that many moments that I’ve eye rolled to these men I’m shocked my eyes arnt backwards.

Molly J (Cover To Cover Cafe) (106 KP) rated Pursued (Nikki Boyd Files #3) in Books

Holy smokes! Ms. Harris is a FABULOUS thrilling, suspense author. Her book had it all. I mean all. It had the thrills of suspense, the chilling twists, the roller coaster ups and the breath taking romance that makes up a well rounded, beautifully written romantic suspense novel.
The characters within this book are perfectly chiseled. They are real-to-life and complexly portrayed in this thriller. Nikki, Erika, Tyler and the other secondary characters really pulled me into the heart of the story with them. Every fast paced move, every heart pounding scene truly came to life for me. I loved that!
Ms. Harris had me on the edge of the my seat through this whole book. I read it in one intense sitting! That is how a book is written, that's for sure. She added the perfect amount of messages from God and kept the story line flowing. This story is filled with hope and trusting in Him. You need both in today's world!
While this is not the first book in this series, it wasn't hard to get acquainted with the characters and their stories. But, I will for sure be checking out the first two books in the series as well as looking forward to the next installment! Ms. Harris, you are truly, superbly talented and I give this book a whopping 5 star praise and roof-top-shouting recommendations. This review was originally posted on Cafinated Reads
