Nevertheless, I really, really, really liked this. It was the forbidden romance aspect mostly I think, add in one sexy, appealing guard who doesn't much care for his job and one innocent prisoner and whew! Blown away!
I was obsessed from the first page to the last and I didn't want to put my kindle down! It was action packed, romantic, heart-breaking...
With how it ended I'm unsure how the next book will go in the series. Will it continue with Cole and Lexi's story? Or will it centre on someone else and involve these two lovebirds? Either way, I look forward to reading the rest.

I'll admit this started a little slow for me. It seemed very sci-fi for a while but then revelations were made and I started to get into the story. I was intrigued with how everything would play out with Ander and Katya and everyone else.
It plodded along quite happily, keeping me entertained and I was going to give it 3 stars because I had liked it. But then that last 10% or so knocked it up a full star because I was not expecting that! What a plot twist!
It has certainly left me wondering what's going to happen next--since I have been left with several unanswered questions--and I will be getting the second book in the series soon. Very good for a first book!

I am super confused as to why the name of this show was changed to 'Baking Show'. I still call it Bake Off because it's the fricken name.
The challenges are fun, and the casts each year are super entertaining. While I did really like Mel and Sue as the presenters, I love Noel, and my brother and I constantly hunt for The Mighty Boosh references (Old Gregg reference are our fav). I think Matt Lucas was a good choice for this series, but I'm still lukewarm on him.

As most gamers will know by now (Witcher III, anyone?), Geralt is a Witcher, who makes his living by hunting Monsters but who also follows his own moral code. While I've never (yet) played that game, I also know that Netflix have a very-soon-to-be-released series based on the character and his world, starring none other than the current incarnation of Superman (Henry Cavill).
As a result, I decided it might be worth-while reading the source material itself first, starting with The Last Wish and now moving onto this. Both those books are pretty much character studies, introducing some key characters in Geralt's life who I'm sure will play larger roles in the full-length novels.

The plot twist towards the end could have been much better in my opinion, Parks really missed a trick.
Lexi has absolutely no backbone and just rolls with whatever Jake feels like doing. I just found the winning couple to be so stupid, especially Jake.
I think a lot of the story was obvious once you know the premise. Overall, not as great as I anticipated.
Would I recommend it? Probably as a quick and easy read when you haven't got the brain cells for anything too difficult.
