Nicely balanced fantasy novel on the struggles of war (0 more)
The first book was definitely my favorite, but I appreciated the incorporation of Mik and Suzanna in the Chimera world. It gave the story just the right amount of levity.

I liked the first 2/3rds of this novel, but then it dissolved into something really odd. Odd to the point of slightly disturbing, which is kind of Ballard's thing. But, I don't think it worked in this case.

The timeline in this graphic novel went back and forth a bit, so it was confusing in the beginning. However, once the family moved, it started to make a lot more sense. It's an interesting, but psychologically creepy story.

"This novel is just astonishing in its depth and reach and beauty. There is really nothing else like it, and no matter how many times I read it I find myself shocked at what Woolf was able to do."

How much fun could a book about crime be? Well, if it involves a group of elderly people in Sweden, a whole lot. Read more about this lovely novel here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2016/06/14/naughty-but-nice/

A gently written novel that explores slavery in America's South from the perspective of both a female slave and her female master. You can read my full review here https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2013/08/13/slavery-through-womens-eyes/
