i was so surprised i liked this novel. actually, it's three short stories. i almost didn't get it because it looked like it was geared toward love sick 14 year olds. but Taylor has a beautiful writing style and i liked that i could tell she was from the NW in the first few pages.

My sixth grade students really enjoyed this novel, though they felt that the end really left them hanging. Bud is an adorable little character and while, as an experienced reader, some parts of the plot were a bit predictable for me, my students were utterly surprised by each twist and turn. A fun read.

Obsessive love in Tangier
This novel seemed to me like a mix of Single White Female and The Talented Mr. Ripley. The plot was entertaining, if predictable. The characters though, unlike Gone Girl’s titular protagonist, were unlikeable and seemed to have no redeeming qualities.

I cannot begin to describe how beautiful and heartbreaking this novel is. It is the story of a young woman who finds herself in a man who has had his adventurous life ripped from him in a single accident. You will cry and laugh. Possibly, cry more than laugh. I recommend this to everyone.

Not so much science fiction as it is science fantasy, this novel pretty much proves the old matra that you can't judge a cover by it's (in this case, dodgy) cover. Not the best book I've ever read, not even the best by Simon Green, but still worth a look if you like space opera.

Ghost with the moast yo boast
Really good graphic novel about growing up as an outsider in America as well as having a ghost who at first seems great but not is all as it seems. Clean cute drawings, plenty of comedy and a relatable character makes this a perfect for all ages story.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I happened to run across Cats of the Louvre on the shelf at my library. I'm glad I read it. It's full of art appreciation, mystery, some heartbreak, and cats when the Louvre is closed at night. It's an odd, magical story told in graphic novel form.

I received a read and review copy from Netgalley for my full honest opinion.

Overall, this was a great read. Some parts were completely terrible while others were absolutely fantastic. I would only reread parts of this novel as certain stories are better than the others but all in all, it's a 4 star read.
