I really enjoyed the fact that Zusak chose the write the novel from the perspective of Death. It was an interesting take on the causes and consequences of war, what it means to have compassion for your fellow human being, and doing the right thing even when doing so is difficult. I felt it also showed the complexities of war. War is never as simple as black and white, right and wrong. It's also - at its heart - a story about a young girl who loves to learn.

Another thrilling page-turner from James. A definite step up in form from the previous instalment, Fire in the Blood. Cullen is this time part of the team investigating the apparent suicide of a young man in West Lothian. As usual, the case expands from there with the body count increasing and the twists and turns, lies and confessions are in abundance.
Other than one or two slightly clunky plot devices (working out someone's identity from their chat board user name) this was a compelling, well-written crime novel.

A graphic novel alternative WWII history thriller, this has some disturbing elements which may not be for every reader, but do add to the realistic element that these things would have happened. This first part of the story takes its reader on a grand journey which leaves the reader wanting to continue in the next part to find out what will happen to its characters. I can easily see this as a blaxploitation-style film, the spies, hitmen and nazi give you a real idea of what to expect.

This is the second novel in the "The Lawyer To The Doms" series. It was a short erotica book, and I couldn't get enough. I wish I got to know more about the characters and I was hoping the story would of been longer and with more depth. I'd read work by this author again, too. This book is definitely NOT fluffy, so I recommend it for the people who want to read a short naughty erotic book and are not afraid of rough language and BDSM scenes.

All time favorite book
This is my absolute favorite book and i can't say enough good things about it. I read this as a young child and it has been a yearly read since then. I have no doubt this book shaped who I am in a huge way and I wouldn't be the same person without it. It's often considered a horror novel, and while there is certainly a horror aspect to it, it's really a story about people and friendship.

I fell in love with Will and Awa throughout the book and really felt a bond with the characters. I found it fascinating to read about the different historical events and I really think this is an interesting way to spread knowledge of history! I’d rather learn about history when it is mixed in with fiction than sit down with a textbook!

The novel is constantly exciting, and it kept me gripped right up until the end.

I really can’t wait to see how the story progresses in the second book!

A mix of humour
Sharp, witty and thrilling
I'm a little late at getting round to watching this, having heard very good reviews about it. It's a great premise a serial killer working in the Miami police dept who targets other killers. It's very witty as well and largely has a darkly comic side to it. The story running through the series though plays out like a top selling thriller novel. It's a great mix that works very well. If you missed it check it out.

This book is incredibly thick and took a long time to read; and was worth every second. This incredible story, steeped in fact, is engaging, exhilarating and heart wrenching. The characters are defined, realistic and believable, as are the circumstances of their lives and situations. To be able to immerse ourselves in what happens to these kids in countries where terrorist groups abound and are as well known as the locals is amazing and important. This “true story”, which reads like a novel, is timely, smart and a must read!

This book is told in both characters perspectives, so you get to know what they both feel.
