I am loving Ellie and Cam. They work so well as a team and yet they still have their issues. Let's face it, they've not been together long, and with Ellie's Shadow - it takes the meaning of a love triangle to a whole new level.
There is something new to be learnt about Ellie's Shadow in every novella, as well as Ellie herself. The detail is superb and clearly shows the difference between the 'normal' world and Twilight. Quick-paced and full of action, the ending leaves you wanting the next book immediately. Definitely recommended by me.

This is their story of how they come to be together, in a world where they're still not supposed to be! I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but am now curious to know what happens. It made a real change to read a book where two wolves who are mates felt absolutely no pressure to have a bond.
A great introduction for a new reader and definitely recommended by me.

It’s set in a world that we all know a little about. A Covid-19-type virus, except far more severe, breaks out and social panic ensues. Society goes ion to lockdown, hospitals are unable to cope with the sheer volume of cases, and the army is drafted in to keep order. Shops are looted, food is rationed, people die horrifically.
Edith Harkness looks back on her life as she prepares to enter the last stages of Long-Nonovirus. It’s a much more serious version of Long-Covid, where the affected person dies. Edith looks back on her life, from her childhood where she lives with her brain-damaged mother, to her years of study and consequent art prizes, and then her time in lockdown with her lover, a Bulgarian Turk.
It’s a book about love, sex, desire, illness, caring, family and grief. Those are some big topics for a slim book, but it’s beautifully told.
Now I need to read some more Sarah Hall books.

This holiday entry, billed as a novella, is shorter than a typical novel in the series, but fans will hardly notice. There are still plenty of twists and turns that lead Samantha and us to the logical climax. Okay, so it was a bit rushed, but everything is explained. The characters, new and returning, are great, and we see more growth in Samantha. Along with that, we get some shenanigans from Samantha and plenty of humor. If you haven’t found this light, fun series yet, you’ll definitely enjoy it. And if you are a fan who hasn’t read this entry yet, you are in for a treat.

This is only a novella so the storyline is fast-paced so that everything is in place before it finishes. I can see this series being another hit for Felicity Heaton and am looking forward to reading more.
