Good book! Picked it up before the hype when it first came out. Read the back, it sounded good and the look of the book was appealing, so I bought it. A nice story, enjoyed it, but in my opinion....really not worth all the hype. There are much better vampire novels out there...this one is just too fluffy and Bella is very annoying!

Third entry in Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series, and maybe I was beginning to burn out as I had read the first three books back-to-back in the course of about a week, but I found this one to be slower moving, more graphic and heavier going than either of the two previous novels.

Of the first three books, this is by far the weakest.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie | 2014 | Fiction & Poetry

"In this book, Ms. Adichie has constructed a full on romance that has the addictive power of a Jane Austen novel but with the specifics of life in Nigeria, as well as life in the United States as an immigrant. I fell in love with Ifemelu and Obinze in a way that I haven’t felt since I was a child reading novels for the first time."

"One of the few novels I’ve ever read twice (though it’s been about 20 years, so it might be time for a re-read). A philosophy book in the form of a novel that has very little to do with motorcycle maintenance. Instead, it has a lot to do with the elusive aspects of “quality,” and the importance of attitude in your approach to life."
